"For gameplay you should notice that larger players cannot jump as high to swat down passes making things look and feel more authentic. In Dynasty mode, it means two things. First, the majority of the teams in Dynasty will be slightly better than before due to having access to higher rated Prospects and slightly better progression. Second, CPU teams will do a much better job of accurately filling their rosters."
Two questions. I downloaded the tuning package from a link on another thread here since my PS3 is offline.
First question: Do you have to load the tuning package from the file management window everytime you start the game or is it auto-loaded like your profile is when you start the game up.
Second question: Is there a way to verify if the tuning package is on/working? I started a new franchise and didn't notice anything on the surface about recruits and their awareness (still mostly all D's). I thought this was supposed to fix awareness, so I'm concerned that the tuning package isn't on/working from the file I loaded.

Thank you.
Not sure about the first question myself. I have been loading from the menu each time to make sure.
I don't think there is a way to verify if it is on when in dynasty other than the fact that if you loaded it from the menu before starting there is no chance it wouldn't be on/working.
As for awareness issues they said that will possibly be addressed when the patch comes out in a couple of weeks in another thread.

I guess I misunderstood what this thing did then. I know it said that recruits are higher rated with this tuning package, but maybe you don't see that until they actually join your team. I was assuming you'd notice it with their AWR rating, but I guess I was wrong. It would be really helpful if there was a way to know if the package was on/working, because then it would be easy to tell if it was automatically loaded each time you turn on the game or not.
I don't know if this has been addressed, but I read a post by Russ that said that low Spinmoves/Stiffarms/etc. was by design bc corners have bad tackling.
If this is the case, then why do the current receivers not have horrible ratings in these categories?

yeah, i thought of that too, but I was going to lay off for a while until I actually played through a few seasons and saw how everything worked. It seems pretty obvious that this was not the best way to fix things. It may have been simpler to pull off, but it isn't right. No matter how well it works, changing the incoming ratings of receivers would be the more realistic way to fix it, not lower the CB tackling.
Plus, it seems this is going to lead to draft classes in Madden where receivers can't spin/juke/whatever else, and CBs can't tackle

Yep, my only issue with the update. I hope this issue gets the attention it deserves.
Are you answering my question? So the answer is yes, I do need an online pass?
you can use your 7 day trial, that´s what i did.
i´m not sure how i will downloda the rest of the tuners.
and i´m wondering how EA knows i did the trial next time i log in.. maybe is profile related.
COMPARE THE CHART FROM YEARS 2013-14 AND UP, RUSS HAS SAID THAT THE RECRUITS AND FAKE PLAYERS AFTER THE REAL PLAYERS HAVE ALL GRADUATED WILL NOT BE AS HIGHLY RATED IN COMPARISON.
So, go back and look at the chart. From 2013 or so until 2016 you see teams DO improve. Specifically bad teams like San Jose State, but the powerhouses went up in average as well.
You missed my point in the post. There is NO improvement listed for ANY team. Sure, there's improvement as far as the overall ratings between the LTP and non-LTP sims... but you don't see any team ever get BETTER. I'd like to see a top 10 program actually improve in rating, or maybe even a mid-tier team. That's all. I understand the ratings themselves have risen, but I want to see a team be able to improve... maybe go from an 82 overall to an 84, or the like... ya know?
Not bagging on EA either, I think this is great work - just a suggestion to make even better, perhaps in the next set.
One team actually did get better on that chart. SMU went from its default stock roster of 70.74 to a 70.85 in 2015. Now you can say that that's marginal and you would be correct. However, what sticks out to me is that those stock rosters had the "inflated skill ratings" Now the 2015 team does not, so they must have recruited some much better players to have the 2015 team be better than the stock team right? Even if it is a marginal number.
At no point before the tuner did any team at any point have a better team than it's stock roster so that right there is a great sign to me. Tulane was also better at one point although that was with stock players still on the team.
Another thing that looks good is the breakdown of A-D teams. The D's have went down a lot which is another good thing.
I never expected the teams to bet better than stock after the tuner or any patches for that matter. Just because the stock rosters were so pumped up. That's just the way they made the recruits this year, and I don't think that can be changed. All that can be changed at this point more than likely is some select ratings and progression I think. While not happy with all of it, in the long run I might like what they did here because it might be real hard to build up a small team. Real hard, which is more realistic. I always got a kick out of reading dynasty reports where a guy would take Central Michigan to the BCS NC game in 4 years, all the while complaining about how the game was not realistic. Well, folks this year, if you want to run with WKU, you might play like WKU for 10-15 years.
I have not had time to lab yet and check on the hoarding and depth chart issues. That's really what it comes down to for me. But, with this blog, I like what they have done.
Has anyone figured out if you have to load the LTP you downloaded every time you turn the game on? And if so, do you load it before entering dynasty or after entering dynasty? Do you not have to load it at all, just download it and forget about it?
Good afternoon Russ. First, thanks for responding here. Keep up the good work on the game. Enjoying it greatly this year except for one problem...
I read that recruiting and progression has been tweaked in the tuner file. Great, but has the issue with the actual depth charts been fixed to be specific?
It seems to start around the 3rd year in dynasty. The A.I. starts players at positions based on OVR and not the actual position the player should play.
There are ROLBs playing CBs, WRs playing Ks and Ps, etc, etc. Its pretty bad, and it spans EVERY single team. Were you aware of this problem and has it been fixed? Thanks in advance man.
This is the first time in years that I've played dynasty mode this extensively and this has completely halted my progress. Haven't played in about a week and a half waiting for this to be addressed.

Seriously, you asked this question 4 times in two pages, were replied to saying "asked and answered SEVERAL times in this thread" - and you STILL refuse to read?
Why should anyone bother to help you when it's obvious how ridiculously lazy you are?
Yes, you have to use your online pass. And you might consider "Hooked on Phonics" as well.
