wow! So far this game is really sweet! I love locking on to my defender and playing defense from that view. Awesome- I hope Madden has that feature.
I did have a catch caught easily out of bounds and they reviewed it but the announcers said it was over turned but it wasn't. so far that is the worst I have seen. very nice.

Rallied at half to make it 14-17 and then kicked a FG w/ :00 left to send game to OT at 17-17. Held them to a FG... 17-20... I have 3rd and goal at their 5 and drop back... everyone covered... I take off for the end zone, my QB gets to the 1 yard line, gets hit by DT and fumbles!!! They recover and win...
It was disappointing to lose but this game FEELS so much better. They were right... you really do have to play it.
I love the fact that they no longer take you to Corso's Pick or whatever it was... now... on 4th down... you go right back where you were. It's up to you to get to Special Teams and call the play... This will save time at the end of games, trust me.
Great fan scenes, great cut scenes... great all around. And this is just a DEMO!!!

Is anybody using the auto-sprint? (where you dont have to pull the right trigger to sprint) How does it feel?

It's a simple question that doesn't need smart butt reply's. I just asked why they are the away team and yet you couldn't pick their white uni's or white helm. Since it's part of the PC uni's you guy's have been going talking up for months now. I thought it would be in the game or someone might know it wasn't, that was it.
You guys are cranky.

I played all 4 match ups on All-American. Won all 4 games pretty soundly. Bumped up to Heisman for my final 2 games and lost both by 3 points, and 7 points. Heisman was challenging, but not as hard as I'd thought. BUT, there was an increase in fumbles, interceptions. I didn't see any turnovers on my AA games, saw 3(2 in one game, INT and fumble on punt return) once I switched to Heisman. Seemed like that was the way the game was challenging me. Not so much playing better.
What I liked:
-Locomotion. This game plays totally different with locomotion alone. It's the best change the game has had this gen.
-Fluidity of the presentation. No hitches in the cuts from screen to screen. Game flows very nicely.
-Uniforms. They all look nice. I'm not positive on the accuracy of the uniforms, but they looked great.
-Catch debugging tool works! The first time I threw a ball to a receiver approaching the sideline, he had this animation where all of his momentum was going out of bounds, yet he still maintained enough balance to keep both feet in.
-Run blocking. Although, it seems to be too good. But I guess it's better than it not working like it has in the past.
What bothered me:
-Pass rush is really weak without any added pressure, still. This was something that plagued the pass rush last year. Sliders may have remedied but I, personally, never struck a really good balance with it.
-Commentary is still the same. I didn't hear anything new. All other areas of sound have improved, why not the announcers?
-Deep ball is far too successful. I completed at least 4 across all of my games.
-Facemasks missing? I'm sure they're in, but we had that .gif from way back when the game was first shown to us, and I havent seen the newly added masks yet. Worries me that I'll have to edit players equipment so much.
-Player lock camera angle. On punt return, and sometimes at safety the camera would either whip around too fast and leave you with a really bad angle at a crucial time, or wont swivel on a deep pass, and you're left wondering where the ball went.
It's a much better feeling game. You notice it instantly. It will carry over some of the same tendencies, but it's like a brand new football game.

For those of you having issues with the Playcall screen, please read:
There are two modes to the new playcall screen. Basic and Advanced. When you first boot up the game, you will be in basic. You can click in the RStick button to switch to advanced. You have a lot more options in advanced mode.
Normally, you scroll one play at a time in the new playcall, but if you hold down the LT button (labeled Bluff) then you can scroll three plays at a time instead of one. This will help you to pick your plays faster. If you hit the B (360, Circle (PS3)) button (while in advanced) then you can fast select your formation/set then hit A to go back to the play level.
One cool thing about this new playcall screen is that it will remember the last formation/set you were running on both offense and defense. So if you picked I-Form Normal last time you were on offense, it will pre-highlight that option for you the next time playcall comes up while you are on offense. I believe there are some minor bugs with this in the demo that will be fixed in the retail version, so no worries if you notice some issues.
You can also scroll through the formation/sets hitting up/down while at the play level too.
Also, holding Y (360 - Triangle on PS3) after a play will bring up the No Huddle playcalling screen.
Seems to be some confusion about this screen, so maybe EA should make a blog on it.

Let it go.
On topic...now in my third game and still enjoying the heck out of it. Getting my butt kicked by Texas though. Whoever the QB for Oklahoma is, he's awful. Or maybe it's just me
love love love LOVE LOVE IT.
you ever realize you guys treat it's like....you know....not a video game?
a DEMO at that.

The pass-rush sucking seems to be the only real big concern of mine reading through this thread. Looking forward to getting this on PS3 tonight and trying it out.

I played a half this morning before going to work and I've gotta admit - I was blown away with that I saw. I have always liked NCAA Football but this game is getting me excited again as the previous installments were getting a bit stale.
I absolutely love the graphics. I think the players look so much more realistic that they used to. The running games feels extremely smooth and balanced. I pretty much loved everything about it but there was one thing that I thought was really refreshing - the hurry-up offense. Finally, you can choose anyplay while you players are running up to the line of scrimmage.
This game is going to be sick!

I am loving the bubble screens this year, they seem to be very effective and actually work.
