They haven't given us the dates yet. If I had to guess, there might be an announcement of some kind within the next month. I will say no more on the matter, so don't even try.

And there is an embargo on the embargo to the embargo as well. Or they just didn't tell us yet. You pick.
*sigh* i'm so NHL overloaded hahah
the OXM the screenshots all tell you a LOT about the game without TELLING you... read into them what you want. But I checked this morning we are still lips sealed and everything about the DETAILS. can only confirm...
new physics engine
new faceoff mechanism
new deking
CHL inclusion
but how or WHAT or when..... can't say

Hopefully physics includes hitting, checking, puck "physics" and goalie play. If it makes all those things considerably better this will be absolutely unbelievable...

I agree Ch46647, if this new physic engine covers all of what you've mentioned, NHL'11' should be unreal good. I just wish we'd get a blog about the new engine. Now that the cat is outta the bag.

I dunno guys...I think some of you are over blowing the problem a bit. Sure, not everyone should be able to do the same dekes...but really, there is a difference in the stars compared to the regulars in the success rate of the dekes.
Also, NHL 10 is the first game where players would lose pucks when attempting to carry the puck in too tight of turns...
and this was largely based on ratings.
I think a lot of people tend to forget that.
Not to say improvements aren't welcome, but I can tell a noticable difference in my stars as compared to my fourth line scrubs who often are next to useless in the offensive zone.
Also...
I feel like some people have sliders that make things easier to control the puck...then they complain that they never lose the puck because they never challenge themselves with a legitimate slider set.

most NHLers when given the opportunity and space can pull off skill moves. There aren't any NHLers these days that aren't world class athletes.
Of course some players do it with more regularity because that is their role and they're given more opportunities on the PP and with higher skilled linemates...plus, like you said, they are better at it...
not the only ones who can do it though, by any means.

I loved seeing my lesser skilled players stumble with the puck when trying something too fancy. Unfortunately, it wasn't the same on the CPU's side.
So in that sense, not only do I want the CPU players to have the same limitations but I want the CPU to recognize each players strength's and weaknesses so it makes appropriate decisions based on that.
So a guy like Blair Betts is not going to try and carry the puck through 3 guys on route to the offensive zone. The CPU will notice that he has weaker puck and passing skill so he'll keep it simple.
Just like if the CPU recognizes that A.O. has the puck, it's going to try to force it deep into the offensive zone knowing he has the skills to do that.
Reading about a refined deking system has me geeked, as does this new physics engine. This has me extremely optimistic that these issues can be fixed.
With E3 around the corner, I can't wait to hear more news about NHL11.
