"Share the Demo With Friends and Earn Experience Points

May 18, 2010 – The Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 11 demo is now available on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3! The demo invites you to participate in a fully customizable Ryder Cup match that includes three holes on Celtic Manor, the home course of the 2010 Ryder Cup. Share the demo with those on your friends list, via Xbox LIVE and PlayStation Network, to earn in-game Experience Points (XP).

Using the console messaging system, you can earn in-game XP for each invited friend and additional XP for each invited friend that downloads the demo. The XP can be applied to the full version of Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 11, when it launches on June 8th (North America) and July 2nd (Worldwide) to help boost your golfer’s skill attributes.

In addition to the Ryder Cup feature, the demo will include the ability to play three holes on the all-new Liberty National golf course. As you hit the links, the all-new Shot Focus system allows players to make shot to shot decisions and offers a bit more risk/reward style of play. Shot Focus is used to provide that extra boost to the ball off the tee, increased spin during flight, the accuracy of your shot and most importantly putt previews. Once your Shot Focus has been depleted you will lose the advantage of those shot enhancements until it recharges.

The Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 11 demo will also introduce True Aim – a new feature that brings a more authentic style of play and immersion onto the golf course. Traditional aiming methods have been replaced with yardage markers showing carry distance, and distance to targets. It’s up to you to select the right club and execute your shot. Just like in real life, once the ball leaves the club face it’s on its own.

Play a couple 4 rounds tourny's, and post the AI scores.

They should average -10 to -15.

As a lover of season and off-line franchise modes in sports games in general, this is pretty much the only concern I have for TW11.
Check out my results so far in the thread below...

Average YTD is about -15/-16, i'd say -13 to -18 is a solid range, with outliers both above and below that occuring sometimes.

I really need to decide which version to grab....

Wii for all the courses (and disk golf)?
PS3 because of the support for future motion controller better graphics?

I have them both, but if I were in your shoes it would depend on if you are willing to play the PS3 version with the DS controller until the Move is released. If not, pick up the Wii version as it is the closest thing to a golf simulator in TOUR Pro with TrueView as I have ever played. Here's hoping the PS3 Move version matches, if not surpasses what the Wiimote + is capable of in TW11....

Cool. I'm getting Wii version. Then if the PS3 version does turn out better I'll get it then.

Thanks!

Can the new focus meter feature be turned off in the full version?

Only if you are playing with TrueAim on, then Focus is off by default which is great and challenging.

Will Tiger 11 have any Autumn courses?

Went with the Wii version as well. Everyone raved about it last year compared to how much I ended up disliking the 360 version.

How many courses are in the Wii version? I remember last year was like 20 some, where the 360/PS3 gets half that, the rest via DLC.

28 courses for the Wii, 16 each for the 360/PS3 that will eventually have 32 if you purchase all the DLC courses...

The PS3/360 will have 16 DLC courses at 7 bucks a pop?! LMAO Sorry, but wow, just wow.

Thanks!

The DLC prices haven't even been released yet. Someone on EAs forums say $10 price tag for the Highlands. If thats true, you won't see me spend that much. What the HE double hockey sticks are you doing EA? If $10 is the case, then you won't sell one single course. Crooks!

That's because they can't sell DLC for the Wii as it does not have a hard drive....

We'll see what the course packs are priced at, but I am shocked at the price of the Highlands....$10 is ridiculous for a non-licensed fantasy course. I won't be buying at that price, nor would I buy a fantasy course at ANY price as I hate them....

# 99 Stormyhog @ 06/08/10 01:58 AM
If the courses are high priced then I'll be sticking with just what's on the disc and the free pre-order course. How many course's do you really need anyway. Last Tiger game I also never purchased any DLC as I thought the price was too high for one course just enjoyed what was on the disc.

So this true view thing is only with the Wii version?
