I just spend round 1 on expert getting dominated on the ground my Machida. I have no idea how to get him off me. My transitions couldn't do too much, and all I could hope to do was hold him down and not let him posture. He finally got mount and I rolled, and he held my back and beat my skull in. Finally took my side, and I got up and the round ended.
This is going to be a whole new fight.
And I just got knocked the **** out in round 2.
Does the CPU seem to get a boost on certain stats (power, speed, etc) when playing on expert? Or was the CPU simply smarter?
I was using Rampage against Rashad....pinned Rashad's *** up against the cage and teed off on him with countless uppercuts, which rocked him. He was able to regain himself but I ended up knocking him out with a right uppercut, left elbow, right elbow combo.
this year is boxer's paradise. I simply CANT beat rampage on "experienced" ...granted I have no idea how the clinch transitions work...but MAN...it's hard.
The good outweighs the bad because it's so complex now which is a good thing. A couple kick animations looks stupid imo. Every fight has ended 2nd round ko which could be an issue. I'm going to try and fight smarter,...I just want to get a ko so bad.
It's weird because I beat Rashad SOUNDLY with Rua, but I cannot beat Rampage for some reason and I'm on a mission now...I have to beat him before I use him lol.
But yeah, Boxing is king in this one I mean it's just brutality.
How do you duck and sway? Machido swayed from everything I threw. I def tell a difference between fighters. Fought Machido and he didn't really press, fought Rua and came at my *** and wouldn't let up. also, how do you do these sub reversals?

Clinch transitions are the same as ground transitions. Quarter circles or half circles on right stick.
BTW I had the same thing happen to me against Rashad. I went to Advanced (2nd highest I think) and continuously got messed up.
Also....just knocked Rashad out in half-guard as I'm typing this.

Alright, I'm gonna try and beat Rampage on experienced with Lyoto. Going with the leg kick stick and move strategy.
Im really liking the new GNP. You have to get into Mount Down then do a minor transition to get into Mount up. From there, you can unleash hell. I TKO'd Rampage with GNP from mount.

Alright, so the first thing I did was set it to 5 5min rounds.
I would argue that I won 2 rounds to 1 before Rampage KO'd me when I attempted a jumping kick to the head.
It seemed like if you try something too many times, the computer adapts. I kept going for the leg kick and Rampage was grabbing it and trying to counterpunch me.
OK, and seriously, it seems like standups are WAY too easy to get.
Knockouts never get old. Did the tourney as Rampage and knocked out Machida in the 2nd round of the title fight with a right left elbow combo to the jaw, and Rampage just calmly walked away as Machida crumpled to the mat

transitions are a bit more complicated than that. i constantly try to get a thai clinch (plum)..but sometimes I get underhooks instead. Holding ramp in a thai clinch is nearly impossible.
I'm a bit discouraged because I'm not seing the benefit of using jabs. Ramp keeps knocking me silly even if I'm just jabbing he's winging in with huge bombs. I need to just fight other guys and come back to him. He's my kryptonite right now even though I kicked shad's arse. I do feel I could string together combo's better in the last one...like I said the controls are a bit sticky - which is trouble when fast haymakers from ramp are raining down.
I'm trying with rua now...at least I know this game won't be a cakewalk.
can someone try to beat rampage on "experienced"? like I'm in shock lol...i owned on expert last year and now i'm a can
