Yeah I thought Advanced was tougher than Expert initially, but I don't think that's the case any longer. I regularly KO them on Advanced but still am around 50% on Expert due to the Flash KOs.

My problem is on any level, I straight destroy the CPU in a matter of a few secs on the ground. It is literally this easy.

Take down
Land a GnP punch
They go to transition
Flick right stick and reverse to mount
Contine same routine until pounded out from mount.

Standing it is a very fair fight and I can lose by a KO or TKO. But if I choose to take it down, man it is easier than last year. Ground game vs CPU is wayyyyyy to easy.

Yeah I agree, though it seems a little harder to just hold them down, even from mount -- they'll transition 3 times and get out even if you're transition blocking. I can get the reversal most times but don't normally look for it because it still feels cheap, especially when I'm freakin Rampage or somebody. I hope it's better in the final so it's not so predictable...

online multiplayer has taken over...

sigh..

I apologize because it's prolly been covered. But last year if I'm on my back an the CPU is trying to transition to a dominant position, I could jus flick the right stick an I could reverse an gain the upperhand. This year the only thing I have been able to do when on my back is hold him until the Ref breaks it up. What am I doing wrong? Thanks

You aren't timing it correctly.

Is the timing different then last year?

Slightly, but most of the time I can still get them... once you can lab in practice mode and find the points again it'll be just as easy as last year it seems like. Hopefully the ratings and different fighter styles make it a little more interesting than 2009 though, because the constant reversals got old for sure.

Click the left stick in. You don't really need to run much in this game though.

unless you're getting you're *** whooped

I hope to god that it's easier to get submissions in the retail game I'm having a hard time getting them at all. I actually got my first submission last night and i had to put the difficulty to experienced.

I also hope that getting out of subs is easier in the retail. As soon as the CPU locks me in a sub, I tap.

I will say that I'm liking the striking game the more I play (on PS3 now). I had a nice battle against Rashad with Rampage and KO'd 'Shad with a nice counter hook.

Haven't found the CPU sub thing at all... I've only gotten submitted once and it took my by surprise (it was immediately after a clinch slam by Machida) and I screwed up the shine. Other than that, I've always been able to get out.

I've been submitted once and have submitted the CPU once... both on Expert.

Machida always sub me all time on advanced.for me is the only guy that cant not escape

the level that is most realistic i think is experienced

Has anyone notice tge AI throwing combos or not??? I deleted the demo and all of the vids out are on the lowest level..

Also will the DLC fighters from gamestop be imported to the career mode???

I havent notice that last year

I don't know if its me but, whenever I try a submission, I CANNOT get it to work. Is there something I'm missing? Like pressing buttons, or rotating one of the joysticks?

And ontop of that, is there anyway to try and counter a submission?

# 559 DavonBrown @ 05/21/10 05:30 PM
I wondered about this too. If I download the GameStop fighters, will they be in career mode?

I am really bad explain stuff but i saw instructional screen explain how to charge subs in 2010,I can't find now but i saw people explaining on forum which a going to paste here

you click and hold right stick for a small period of time (if you hold it too long you'll waste a lot of stamina) and once you release it (and go back to rotating), your fighter will try extra hard to get the submission (hold gets tighter). It's hard to get it to work on the computer because you gas out pretty fast + the cpu's thumbs don't get tired

initiate submission --> Click and hold to charge --> release click to release the charge --> rotate

Using the arm triangle as an example,

when you charge it and let go, he pushes that sucker in deep, then you have to rotate to finish it, but then again while your charging the opponent can be rotating so you probably dont want to charge for to long, idk, im just waiting for people to get off work so i can test it.

Ok you dont need to rotate after for one. Secondly you do click in the stick release right before stamina runs out if poss if it was enough its locks in and your oppenent taps becoming your man-*****. As to who it works best with ive had most success with people with high cardio and strength.

I am going to test it out but i am sure that is going to help with subs.
