tecmo bowl is king in 2d... 3d sucks the gameplay is much smother in 2d i used the lions and b sanders is a beast!!! watch out for the quiters we need 2 set up the ladder quick

Speaking of graphics after toggling between the two I can't play this in 2D. I can't believe we had to get by with graphics that bad.

For those complaining about floating passes try playing with Miami or Denver there should be a noticeable difference. Marino had an 81 passing speed and Elway a 75.

Yeah, I don't plan to. I just wanted to see how often it would work and then quit doing it. I forgot the J/K about it ruining the game because I love it. I don't really plan on playing online except maybe against friends or ladder games. I was playing the original Tecmo Bowl on my Wii last week and am now shell shocked for the change. I started strong and am getting my butt beat by the CPU now. I guess I played more NES TSB and will have to adjust.

So far the game is a blast. Maybe I am getting old but the rosters/team colors don't bother me a bit. I know who most of the players are from back then so its good enough for me. I'm just going to enjoy some Tecmo Bowl for Tecmo Bowl! I think this is the first time I ever was a little excited for the release of a XBLA game.

first game online: won 39-0 with Buffalo (forgot about them...I LOVE Nate Odomes on defense)

outgained the guy 246-20 (11 1st downs to 0)

Just like old time....IT'S BACK BABY!!!

Maybe I missed it, but I thought there was going to be an online tournament mode. I don't see it anywhere.

You can basically select a team, and go down player by player and modify them to match the team. That way you don't have to worry about if you are editing the right player or not. Can't remember who provided the link to the file originally, but thanks for posting it!
The only issue with the GameFaqs page is that the Denver Broncos roster isn't listed. Here's a web site I found that gives the Broncos 1993 roster:

Be careful on the run and shoot teams like Atlanta as a few players are listed in different spots. Like Mike Haynes as the 2nd RB instead of a WR slot. Just check the numbers from the preseason menu and you can edit them correctly. Love this game.

This is happening to me as well, yet I don't have lag in any other games. I can't cut or move at all which basically kills any chance of moving the ball or stopping it.

I've gotten slight lag a few times, but oddly enough I'm used to it because of all the years I played Tecmo via emulator online with a 56k modem lol.

Southend screwed up on the character frame speed. I still play in 3D because I can't stand the SNES version, but I agree that it is definitely smoother in 2D.

I haven't checked out 2D yet. May have to do so. I don't mind 3D (I like how the ball looks - not the trajectory) but it is hard to juke guys sometimes because I can't read their movements like I can on 2D.

They said during interviews that they "ran out of time" or something to that extent. It's not in.

We can do an OS tournament if people are interested? I'm going to make a poll and try to come up with something good today.

Ok maybe it's just me but, the lag online is bad. I tried to play a couple of games last night with no luck at anything. I was running out of bounds when nobody was near me (before anyone says anything, I don't suck) and when cycling to each receiver and trying to throw was a nearly impossible.

Anyone else having issues online?

$10 isn't bad, but I feel where you coming from. I refuse to pay more than $35 for any game these days. I say find a friend with a PS3 and you create a dummy account, share it and pay $5 each.

Otherwise, I wonder how the season mode is setup? Does a season the playoffs and a championship?
