I'm not dissing you, but just asking you to really be honest here for a minute.
Because they did last year. My good sir some people quite honestly tends to be overract sometime. I saw some difference from last year in the video. I guess have their own opinion.

Don't really see why people are focusing this trailer on the locomotion/animations when it's obvious emphasis was the gameflow feature (at least that's how I feel).

Yea I was impressed with that aswell.

You don't, the coach calls them based on the situation.

the jukes were nice you can tell the dual sticks will be a factor. The animations still look a little robotic. I hope they can adjust the defender floating to his assignment pre-snap. Maybe the pro-tak was disabled but i hope players will be more willing to mix it up on hits instead of rolling off, the hits just seemed soft. Gus will be a great addition to the franchise and who's knows maybe this play calling system will help out. how man people really use more then 15 to 20 plays they are comfortable with each game? So if you can create you game plan with those plays that might be cool.

Some folks like to be unhappy. Don't know or understand why you'd be mad over something you don't have to buy.

I liked what i saw. Did we expect engine changes? Core changes? People are seriously upset...lmao.

I'm not grasping the "play a game in 30 minutes" feature. What does this mean? Somehow it's tied into spending less time in the huddle and the new playcalling, but I don't see how that is going to save 30-plus minutes.

We still got 4 months people. I'm not jumping out the gym yet. The high knees setup move was sick though. The defender reaching out to grab reggie when he cut in would have been better. Also sound like the added a RPG type play calling system. Pre set your plays for certain possession maybe?

Didn't see ESPN, CBS, FOX, NBC broadcast elements...

Honestly, I get a weird vibe from EA that they're trying to market Madden like Microsoft is marketing Windows 7.

"Make my PC simpler. I'm a PC and Windows 7 was my idea."

It really feels that they took Madden NFL 10, smoothed it up a bit (didn't real tweak any animations, just made the existing ones look slightly smoother), and then loaded on this "hey look, we'll just make Madden... simpler... quicker... easier to play quickly".

I think they've moved their target market to males perhaps 25-35, rather than 15-25 like it has mostly been years before.

Clearly they aren't interested in what we truly think because it has now been two years where they have heard what we have said, but haven't listened.

I mean, think of it this way. When has any diehard Madden fan every complained about games taking too long or anything? It's mostly been the casual guys who have more going on in their lives. Madden NFL 11, from what we have seen, has clearly bent over backwards to simply take Madden NFL 10 and turn it into a more social and casual experience rather than a sim experience.

Some will find this good. Hell, most people will, because we are a huge minority. Sadly, I don't think we'll ever see an NFL 2K5-like Madden NFL game. Is it possible? Sure it's possible, but they aren't going down that route. All of their effort is turning Madden NFL into a casual experience that everyone can get into.

I think EA should use this tagline in one of their Madden NFL 11 commercials (along the lines of the Windows 7 ads).

"I'm a husband - and Madden 11 was my idea."

Thank you to the fine folks at EA sports, for saving me an additional $60 this year, for a total of $120,between Madden and NCAA.

As much as I love the game of football, and video game football, there was nothing that I've heard or seen that would want me to shell out the money for these products.
Last year was the first year I didn't buy NCAA,but this year I won't be getting either.

I've got to do a serious ...at all the "alpha build" excuses. Like it or not, what we just seen gameplay wise,is going to be what we are getting at release (imo)

Mainly because there is 60 million + people out there that madden no matter what. It is really hard to convince that many people to stop buying madden because a few thousands people on a few websites are unhappy about the way the way madden is every year. That is the honest truth. We fans on the OS site make up a very small fraction of people who buy madden every year. It looks like the other 60+ millioon are happy no matter what.

I bet Gus Johnson is just the coach voice that gives you advice.

Here's what I posted in the original trailer thread:

Have to admit that I wasn't impressed by the trailer. While I don't know how close to finished the game used for the trailer is, it looks too much like 10 as it could use more new animations, NCAA 11's new shading and some new overlays, seen an arcadish wheel route run (locomotion utilized??) and I hated HATED dude's voice (He did something last year for them, too.).

On the plus side, seen a great sideline tippey toe catch, seen the new high step move and....uhh, I think that's it...oh, the gameflow deally looked ok, I guess. I dunno. I just need a demo so I can actually play it and hopefully it will be a version that's further along or looks better or something.

If this was the case I'm pretty sure many of the CD guys would have said something about it.

Should we remind them that this is DRAFT WEEKEND?!

How about this -

Gus Johnson - "And all new Franchise Mode presentation and logic with all the emotion of the NFL season from big trades, free agency and The NFL Draft " cue Roger Goodell ->

"With the first pick of the 2011 NFL Draft"

The Draft commands PRIME TIME TV now... Why doesn't it command PRIME TIME attention from the devs?
I'll co-sign this post. I would much rather this as well.
