It is not just madden!!! There are Devs all over this site and if people learned to explain their "dislike" in a constructive manner it would not result in bannings. But people don't and get all childish and attack the devs. This should not be tolerated. Post like a adult or don't post at all is how I feel.

A simple "bash" at EA or any game for that matter comes off as trolling. Nothing else.

well mostly because of the TOS. if you don't have nothing worthwhile to contribute to a thread you shouldn't take jabs. it starts fights and looks childish. not saying its not ok to disagree, but it has to has taste.

callng EA dev out , or calling them dumb , slow , or anything about their family or somthing to that effect is not and will not be tolerated. those days are over my friend.

If people don't like a game, they should be allowed to bash it....especially if its a sports game on a sports game forum (not bash people who MAKE the games, but no one was doing that)

it's not a bash it's a fact

Exactly one of the main reason I love OS. They don't put up with childishness. Showing respect for people is lost on the net in this day and glad to see OS uphold respect from its members.

i wonder how they could improve on this game next year. if at this point everything from tackles, and ai performance works . how could they improve. for me right now i see the body models, but that's an easy fix. and i wonder if the Canadian football team would sell there rights.

System/Game Wars
There are to be no "wars" between systems and games. This means if you are in a games forums, do not bring the other game in there unless you are using it constructively. "Game A sucks, it should be like Game B" is an example of how NOT to be constructive. "Game A's feature should have this part of Game B's feature because it would have (insert effect)" is a better example of what we expect of you when comparing games.

Well could you re-open t11's thread since someone's trolling got it closed?

OS has tried to build itself as a community that has constructive arguments and conversions. Simply stating something without bringing anything to the table for an idea of how to fix it(unless it is the first time people have seen it then its typically should be placed in the IMPRESSION thread instead of starting a new thread) is considered trolling/bashing/ect ect

Things that could be locked carded or banned ect ect whatever
"Madden sucks"(trolling)
"Franchise sucks"(trolling)

They are just broad general statements that dont even narrow down your complaint. They come across as someone who merely has an "agenda" or is trolling.

If the poster were to say, "Madden sucks because the passing game is to easy on offense and the robo QB is still alive and well. Maybe they should look into making the QB accuracy and awareness ratings mean more for the CPU because currently Russel still feels a lot like Manning." Is an example of "bashing" madden in a constructive way. They dont need the forums cluttered up with people just saying sucks because it does only one thing...adds more clutter and prevents easy access to good ideas about how to try and fix the problem.

There are players who would consider lowering the ratings of players and then testing the results in a thread like the above mentioned. This then provides the community with a viable option to alter their game and improve their gaming experience without the devs doing anything. Hopefully the devs take notice and use some of our ideas and make the game better if not at least there is a clean and easy way to open dialogue about how us players can try and fix our issues.

No.

But I will advise everyone here that we should get this thread back on topic. Let's talk about the Developer Diary rather than OS Policies.

If you want to discuss our rules, feel free to post in Steve's Forum or PM a site Moderator/Admin.

Great post Glorious

Back on topic: I think BB is going to bring alot to the world of sports gaming. I still feel it will fail in the football realm only because of lack of licensing and the fact that EA is a powerhouse. Weather you agree with how madden plays or not. You have to account for them and they WILL sell 5-10 times as many Madden 11's as BB will sell. Just the nature of the industry.

But with that said, I think NM will survive because they control a tech that is huge. I would say the biggest tech since the Unreal engine. It can/will revolutionize sports gaming.

one really good commercial and this game will take off. they need to show its a good game. one action packed blitz -like commercial it will have problems. it has to come off as a fun, but realistic game. for people to buy.

plus the thing with tech you can only hold on to it for so long. if PhysX figure out something similar to what Euphoria is EA will get it in an update. but this game looks hot so far.

HAHA, shut down.

Anyway, I'm still super impressed by the gang tackles. The look more fluid and dynamic than Pro-Tak. But almost more important than the gang tackles, is how they start. and thats with a stale mate of power and strength. It really looks amazing to see the BC try to power through a tackle only to be hit again and again by other players/

LBs taking bad angles or not covering their zone are going to get killed.
.
And hopefully the player AI will take this into consideration as well.

It's good that real momentum and physics will make you pay for your bad choices. Hopefully, the player AI will also consider things like this.

Especially with pursuit angles. Bad angles should hurt - hopefully, they'll not take bad angles too often.

Now that we're back on topic, can someone chime in?

No news of playbooks and the like just yet. Rules are most likely to be standard football rules.
