My experience has been the opposite. I play a lot of NBA Today games and would have the cpu get defensive 3second calls frequently. Not 5-6 frequently like you are, usually would see 2-3 a game. But it'd occur consistently, like every game. Always thought it was something w/me because I haven't seen anyone complain about it much. Either way, patch 2 seems to have improved the frequency with which the call occurs for me. Still see it but doesn't occur as consistently as it was before

I actually haven't seen a def. 3 second call yet by the CPU. All in NBA Today games as well.

Me too...Haven't seen any 3 seconds by the CPU. And I play at least one NBA Today game a day.

Didn't know hot streaks was affected by this slider....hmmmm, if I can get this tweaked and taken care of then the game might be pretty decent to me after this patch. It still won't be how it was before it, but this does give me something to work off of. Thanks for the info Pared.

I have been experiencing this as well Pringles with the cpu getting these backcourt violations. It's just odd as I don't remember seeing them as often prior 2 this patch...

Spank, Pared, and jeebs - thx 4 the responses. That GSW game was an oddity as I have yet to see a team get that many in the 8 games I have played post patch. On average I'd say they happen about 2-4 times a game. I have seen them quite often by the CPU along with the backcourt violations Pringles speaks of. I see the BC violations about 2-3 times a game on the inbounds by the CPU.

I love the increase in fouls by the CPU though. I have seen many reach in and over the back calls called on the cpu and my own teammates.

So I think that's why people are seeing things / others are not.

Personally, I've had no probs post patch. The game is playing the best I've seen it play.

I've been wondering this same thing....

what settings/rosters is everyone using that's having post patch issues?

Anyone having these problems with default settings and 2k's Living rosters?

I just got this game (again)...but I kind of want to download the latest Living Roster set. But of course I can't do that without downloading the patch.

There's no turning back (I already have patch #1)...so I am just wondering if I should even bother taking the dive?

Same position for me. I'd like to get online to grab some roster sets but am very hesitant of ruining My Player as I'm having fun in that.

None of these issues with my tweaks and living rosters.

Pared,
What about the rookie glitch in season 2....has anyone solved this?

# 491 Pared @ 01/30/10 01:56 PM
I'm not familiar with it - Myplayer or Franchise?

Franchise. It has something to do with turning the Player Roles off. What happens is, even if the rookie is the best player on a team, they only play like four minutes per game.

I simmed all of season 2, used 6 minute quarters, and used 2k's draft class (not a custom). The ROTY averaged 4.9 mins/game.

LMAO!!!!! my stomach hurts from laughing... as soon as i read this, i felt your pain & visualized your head crashing down to your open hands, then you slowly sliding your head up from out of your hands until only you mouth was covered & with the MOST defeated look on your face saying... "hmph... i'd rather watch a sixers game than go through this."

TELL ME THAT DIDN'T HAPPEN EXACTLY LIKE THAT...

Does anyone think that difficulty levels have anything to do with Big men shooting 3pters when playing the game? I play all of my games on the HOF level and the game is perfect gameplay wise with no big men shooting threes nor are they even waiting at the three point line (unless they are Rasheed Wallace or Okur).

My only problem is with the sim stats but my question is does anyone know if the Big Man Stat Glitch has a significant impact on a teams win-loss record? I ran like 10 tests and found out that with player roles and team chemistry off, you still get random standings results.

Oh and as far as the trading goes if you turn off player roles and team chemistry you get a crazy amount of trades vs. having player roles on. I got 48 CPU trades before the All-Star break with them off and I got 12 in the month of February alone. With the player roles on I got 10 total trades with one taking place in Feb.

I will deal with the 3pt Big Men stat glitch as long as it doesn't effect the standings so if anyone has a clear answer on that then it would be appreciated.

Pared, are you tweaks the ones on the first page in the slider section?

I find it odd that some people get the 3 point glitch and some don't.

# 496 Pared @ 01/30/10 10:53 PM
It happens in franchise, not the other modes. I haven't had time to play any franchise games since.

# 497 Tommyklaid @ 01/31/10 12:00 AM
I've been playing my Franchise and I don't see any 3-point glitch...I have all the patches, etc...

...why are some people having the glitch and others aren't? *weird* !?!?

because they don't have player roles on. That's the problem.

# 499 Tommyklaid @ 01/31/10 01:42 AM
Ah...thanks!

I've always played with 'player roles' on, so I'm glad it's not as issue for me.

I'm still having a blast playing my 'association post-patch...lovin' everything about it!

Agreed. My only issue was having to tweak my sliders slightly which is to be expected. But still a slight irritation since I was thoroughly satisfied w/the state of the game after patch 1. But I do love the subtle improvements patch 2 brings for the animations/interactions; seems like I'm still seeing new stuff. Patch 2 definitely sucks for those that have long-running Associations, but overall I think it doesn't deserve the negative stigma being attached to it because it does improve the gameplay. Unfortunately overreaction is the way of the forums nowadays
