NBA Live 10 News Post

The second patch for NBA Live 10 is now available for 360 and PS3 owners. Please post your impressions here.

This quote from blackflash83, NBA Live Community Manager.

Quote:
"The second title update will address a lot of the bugs that came from the first update as well as address the three point issue that has been plaguing online play. The online fatigue issue will also be fixed as well.

It will also look to address some of the freezing issues that some of you have run into as well."
EDIT: Adding what the patch addresses:

-Addressed goaltending issue to ensure that when a goaltending foul is received while blocking a dunk that the correct points are allocated.
-Addressed an issue ensuring that Ranked Online match forced to have fatigue set on.
-Fine tuned 3 point % completion rates to reduce the likelihood of successes to more realistic values
-Addressed an Injury Removal issue, where adding inured players to the starting lineup and attempting to sub them off was unsuccessful.

With the three point issue, the team worked to make the three point percentage more realistic based on tuning the shot release, defender proximity, player skill and distance from the basket. This was a key issue that the community asked be addressed and the development team took the extra time to ensure that three point shooting is more realistic.

That would really open the transition game up.

Great news
I doubt it...I will see when ps3 gets the update, i hope i am wrong tho because seeing the guy stop for no reason is a pain, feels like i m the coach yelling at them not running their lanes hard enough lol

the game is harder for some strange reason(allstar), the passing lanes are being played way tighter, all in all i think the game is finally playing off of ratings.

it surprises me that so many people who dont have the patch are posting impressions,
Are you saying DNA was tuned down and the ratings are now the brains behind the gameplay?

IMO the ratings should have always been top priority and the DNA should have been a complimentary aspect to the game.

I'll have to check it out this weekend and get a few games since i haven't touched it in about a month

I'm positive. I tested this online and I have yet to be stopped in my tracks!

That's very encouraging, can't wait for this to drop on PS3

I hope it doesn't take forever to reach ps3 heads like the first patch. What was it like 2 weeks wait last time.

I'm really liking the game now...I rarely get sucked into collision animations now...blocks look better too...only thing is somehow the game is MUCH harder now...it's tougher to hit outside shots and in general I am getting my a** handed to me on Allstar whereas prepatch I would be in almost every game...good stuff though...

Not sure as of yet......

The game needed it without question before but right now i can't say if it does or not until i get the patch and give it a week's worth of games.

I don't want to blindly make a decision on the gameplay until i've seen what has changed with this 2nd patch.

From what i'm reading in this thread it appears they have done something right......so hopefully what i'm reading is true in regards to gameplay now......

Is this just evident with everything at default 23 or did you boost up any ratings or sliders yet like Low Post Defensive strength?

# 172 Nomah5 @ 12/11/09 10:00 PM
I tried the patch despite liking the game prepatch 1. I found the game just as enjoyable but also noticed it was harder to get open looks from the outside with my suns. Nash ended up scoring 33 for me in a dynamic season game of tonights real match v. the Magic. Have to get off the comp and to the game.

I did notice on pro, the FT numbers were skewed bigtime. Orlando shot 31-47 while I was 10-14.

I know that I have busted your chops with ncaa10. But being selfish, your sliders are about perfect on every other game out. Give it a shot, the game is good

yo when can we ps3 useres get patch????

not sure if it's placebo effect or what, but it seems to me that the CPU AI is much better now. they will find the open man better, make correct passes in transition, and beat you back door if you cheat or aren't paying attention. it seems like the ratings are taking more precedence over the DNA. and i play 12 min quarters and have been for years. the AI just seems more sharp now, and less of that "it's in my DNA so i must force this shot now" type stuff. i'd still like to see the AI more aware of what you're doing defensively , like sagging off a great shooter will result in a shot, as it should. but this is a step in the right direction.

Again the patch fixed things because they are not as bad as before but you really gotta play on superstar to get the best Online results

That's what I was saying. Need to have cold streaks. Then they have to get some easy baskets, lay ups or free throws to get rhythm back. Honestly, they miss so many, but they always seem to hit the big ones and its annoying as hell lol. They cheese me and I'm playing wit the Nets right now. smh

Live Run after the 2nd patch?
How is it now, are there still so many 3's like before, or the 3pt% is lower now?

I do believe I have read every post in this thread, but I didn't see this answered. Did the second patch fix while playing a DNA matchup and the game ends in a tie being able to play the overtime? Thanks.

Wasn't that the goal tending glitch which caused the OT problems? That got fixed and so OT should work properly. I don't have the game but still keep tabs in here so I'm sorry if that's the wrong advice.
