It'd be so cool if they had Dynamic Season just like NBA Live. Guess that could be too much with all 100-plus teams.

Is anyone else having a problem with your profile being reset every time you turn the game off and turn it back on? It's happened twice to me today.

I guess everyone is supposed to be positive in threads like these but...I cant get into this game...everything about the gameplay is terrible to me...the court environment and announcing is really good...I love the different games with espn and cbs...love that...they have captured the college excitement like no other game Ive played...

But EA needs to scrap this whole gameplay engine and start from scratch...Ive tried playing this over and over...sliders and rosters all loaded...the whole right stick dribble moves are horrible...the collision detection is garbage...all players run at the same speed...I can get up the court with a PF at tremendous speeds...lol...the turnover animations are terrible and come out of nowhere...the shooting and free throws are horrendous...Im hitting crazy shots with 3 men on me in the air and cant make an open elbow jumper to save my life...the CPU takes dumb shots...

I LOVE college basketball and its killing me that this is the only game out...If you are going to monopolize the college basketball gaming series with licenses and expect everyone to come over and buy it...at least put out a decent product

sorry to be so negative...just my opinion

First off, EA is not Monopolizing college basketball. 2K decided not to make a college title anymore. If you do not like it, go play 2K8 with updated rosters. The motion offense in this game is awesome.

I'm pretty happy with this game overall, but the CPU offensive AI is just obnoxious. I'm getting so sick and tired of them feeding it to the low block and then launching that stupid, awkward-looking jump shot from 5 feet away. Sure, you can defend it...just sag your perimeter guy back into the key and cut off the entry pass, since the CPU will almost never attempt a 3-pointer. If only there was some kind of "inside shot tendency" and "3-pt. shot tendency" rating or slider, then this problem could be easily fixed.

ianlast, the roster set Guru and I did will help with your complaint. I have an update scheduled this weekend, which will likely be my last update. It will add more teams and tweak some I've already done for even better results. You can download it from my locker. Check out the details here: http://www.operationsports.com/forum...ter-edits.html

Hey Jetertocano, What set of sliders are you using? I like this game alot! I'm just looking at what other people are using because maybe I'm missing something. Thanks!

Here are a few little niggles that I've noticed afterplaying 50 games or so. The kind of stuff that could and should be patched...

- The CPU is much better at offensive rebounding than the human team. Even with their rebound sliders at 0 and the human ones at 100, they will still double you in this category most of the time. Also they never seem to miss when taking second chance shots under the hoop. Maybe this is player error on my part but its frustrating me a lot.

- Blocks from behind happen far too often and never result in foul calls. Its deflating to finally get a fast break chance only to have the ball snatched by a player behind you.

- Fouling on 3 point attempts seems to happen a lot as well. And of course Nessler chimes in with his 'that's a good foul' comment...

- Did they really only record two or three lines of commentary to be played when shooting fouls occur? Seriously? They realise that shooting fouls can happen up to 20 or so times a game...

Still, I'm having fun. It hasn't frozen up on me in a week or so and I'm having good games with my own custom sliders and some altered rosters. The CPU 3 point issue seems to have been fixed by the hard work of the guys on here editing the rosters. Notre Dame absolutely blew me out of the building last night, hitting 9 of 18 threes. It was lovely.

PS. Its really not cool that EA has walked away from this game when it freezes like the Dickens and requires hours upon hours of roster editing to get a realistic game of college basketball. I won't be purchasing any EA basketball games next year because of this, at least not new. Vote with your feet I say.

And even if they refuse to patch this game, the least they could do is release a new roster with the required 3 point edits for all teams. To save their loyal customers hours of tweaking.

Well after defending this game on these boards for weeks I am now done.
I cant get in a whole game without the game freezing on me! Doesnt matter what I do if I am playing a game inside a dynasty the game freezes. I happened to me first in my season with IU in the NCAA tourney. It is really frustrating to play a whole season and then not be able to play the tourney.
Again my game never froze once until about a week ago and now I cant get it not to freeze.
I even tried to a new dynasty with a new team and it freezes over and over.
I have downloaded the newest roster for 2k8 and again am loving that game. It is crazy that a game 3 years old still works and plays great but a game a couple months old wont.

My NCAA 10 works and plays great and I would never go back to 2k8, game is tired and outdated. Engine is horrible compared to NCAA 10

I was saying the same thing until I went back about a week ago and starting playing it again. IMO it is still an all around better game then NCAA 10. Oh and it has never froze on me once in 3 years.

I love this game, it has put my Madden 10 on the shelf.

I have not had one freeze in my Dynasty since I hit the Start button when timeouts are called. I do AutoSubs, using Jasons rosters with some of my edits, and an edited BigDmo slider set for my own tastes. The stats come out extremely realistic.

This game really captures the College Basketball experience imo. I'm so glad I bought this game, and read this board regarding the freeze issue, which is no more!

Totally jinxed myself, last night leading 38-28 St Johns over Penn State, game froze after first basket made in 2nd Half..so much for that...

Nothing can prevent the freezing, and im afraid the game can damage the hd too... I get real spooky events. Watch out.

I am still thoroughly enjoying this game.....however, I still do get freezes (even using the 'no d-pad for subs' technique). I usually get freezes during the opening sequences just before tip off (usually on ESPN presentation package). Every now and then I will get a freeze in the middle of games.

And through all of this, I start to worry about the effects the freezing, and the turing on and off of my 360. I really don't have any idea if constant freezing of a game can cause damage to the hd, but it is something that I have always been afraid of. I had a freeze last night, and I just decided to play NBA 2k9 instead because I didn't want to go through the trouble of wasting any more gaming time by playing a dynasty game only to have it freeze before I finish. Damn you EA!

About hd... I dnt get real game freezes, but a couple of bad events after 2 months of continuous play (also Dynasty), first a corrupted file on hd (roster file saved by game), then a serious staggering framerate at the beginning of each match.
Staggering become worse after time, then i switch for antoher hd and problem gone, everything fine.
The hd is 250gb came from brand new PS3, no problem with other games... Dnt know to think guys... I get really scared about that, im done with this game, sadly, cuz i love it : /

Cane, I downloaded your rosters...nice work, they really force you to be active defending on the perimeter. It does make the CPU more balanced in taking outside shots vs. inside shots, but I still find the post game to be scripted and unnatural. Maybe it's me, but it seems like you can never really play physical defense in the post; the CPU always fires off a quick jumper or a turnaround jumper, without ever backing you down. Once in a blue moon you can trap them in a double team, but that's about it.

Glad you like the play of the rosters. They do open up the game and really add to the variety in the game. Not to mention make the game play more like college ball instead of pack it in NBA. You gotta ratchet up the defensive pressure both inside and out. Come Sunday afternoon/evening I'll be uploading my last update for a while. The update will include your Temple Owls along with a few other mid majors and some tweaks to the already done BCS/Power Conference teams.

Yeah, not much help for the post game. Recently, though, I have seen the cpu kick it a couple times a game. Not sure what's causing it, whether it's my play style has changed, something in the rosters or sheer coincidence. The edited rosters weren't supposed to help with that so most likely coincidence. And it still doesn't happen for most people's liking. Oh well, that's one flaw that I can live with.

I had high hopes for this game. I have played 2k8 the past few years and needed something new. After reading what a few people had said in a thread titled "10 vs 2k8" I decided to get this game. I had a gift card I needed to use so I knew I would not be out any money. Good thing because after 3 weeks with the game I'm done.
I'm a offline dynasty only player and the dynasty mode is a joke. You can edit coaches names but they don't show up in the dynasty WTF. Then the teams that offer you a contract are a joke. If you are a up start coach the only teams that offer you a job should be small low level schools not a 4* school like Cinci, or Boston College. Then the recruiting points you get is a joke as well. I took E.Ill. and only had 78 point for the whole season with 8 spots to fill. There is no way you can fill that many holes and know anything about the player. Who ever thought of this way of recruiting should not work on a sports game. In real life coaches work on time not points so why does EA keep puting points system in there games.
Game play was fun at first but after a few games I was way over it. If you want to do the ESPN/CBS thing then its great only if you have a select few games that get that broadcast package but when every game I play as a small school like E.Ill. is on ESPN or CBS is not believeable. I only got the "freeze" twice so it didn't kill the game for me but did piss me off. Both times was after playing a few games so I thought it may be due to the system/game getting to hot.
Then the fact that EA has left this game for dead with no patch in sight is the nail in the casket. With a simple patch this game would be ok.
All in all I'm done with this game. I'm going to trade it in while I can still get something for it. This is the last EA basketball game I will buy and I use to love March Maddness and bought it evey year. It makes me sad to say all this but its the truth. EA needs to do somethings with all their games (only play NCAA Football & Madden) for me to buy another one. Tired of the dynasty modes getting put on the back burnner. EA I'm sad.

They are lucky John Wall is overrated on this game.

That is all.
