I will try to remove the update before I play my next game, odd stuff.

Exactly, no seperation. That is what we all want is the distinction between both great players and teams and bad ones. If I'm not mistaken, these updates were what threw live at of whack

So I played against a team with one of the top 25 toughest place to play (or whatever it's called). Yikes! The screen was shaking - really threw my concentration off...making a free throw was tough to say the least. No wonder I got drilled

So are you telling me that when i get the game don't bother with installing the DU?

# 785 Vechi8 @ 11/20/09 03:35 PM
I would try both rosters and see what you think, open forum if you will. I like the original rosters because the seperation is greater imo

I would wait for Tuesday's update and see. That would be based off this season.

Do the games reflect the quality of opponent? For example if I am Duke and playing Belmont will I have an easier time then if I was playing UNC? ALso do the games in dynasty mode reflect real life results this year. Do the big boys blow away the smaller schools etc???

Ok thanks for the heads up! Vechi8

Sorry, silly question, but how do you delete the update?

Go to the saved data stuff on the ps3. i think it is called system data or something. It is not with the regular saved data stuff. It is the one above it. I am not in front of the ps3 right now but i think it is system data.

delete your in-game profile. It will delete your slider adjustments and any other optional changes you've made.

I don't want to start a war on this topic because as an earlier post said that Tuesday is the update day and we will see what it brings. A few of us found that the update brought a quicker pace to the game versus the box set. I believe that if you use the original rosters, you will see great seperation and good gameplay

This won't affect any roster/coaching edits made being that it's a different save file, correct? I also wonder if the update will disapear from my roster file that I did, being that I saved it with the update in it

I'd assume loading the roster then deleting my gamer profile may do the trick?

Just want to check because I've done all but 6 conferences worth of coaches (not to mention picking coaching images that look more like the real ones, rather than the default) and have UK completey edited such as additional headbands, armbands, knee braces, look, etc. for appropriate players (didn't edit ratings).

I also want to add, I'm a HUGE College Hoops 2K8 guy like many here and I absolutely LOVE this game. It has area's where it needs improvement, but overall this game is awesome in it's entirety. I'd definitely recommend this for any college basketball homer or even the casual fan.

Enjoying this a lot so far. Definitely can't "under strategize" on this game or you'll get rocked!. You have to play to you tempo and play smart. Initial impression is solid by me. Playing as GT vs Duke in ATL. Devils are hittin' crazy 3's (as their counterparts) and hittin' the boards hard. I'm still in the game though, down 22-17 in the 1st half with 10:17 left. Gani Lawal just got a nasty two-handed posterization on Zoubek of a pump fake at the key. FUN!

That's true. I think that you and ehh are right in that if you juice up varsity it plays pretty darn close to real life. CB's suggestion on match up helped me down low in the post. I have seen the ai throw out underneath

I too haven't updated and I enjoy how the game plays out the box for the most part. I haven't really even had tweak sliders except for fatigue and gamespeed.

Hi Vechi8, did you set 'Tight" guarding to the CPU's big's to make them pass out? If not, can you explain what you did?

I have adjusted that and it still doesn't make them do it as often as I would like, but maybe I am doing something wrong. By chance have you been in a zone defense when seeing them do it? Thanks.

Yes, I set my C and pf tight everybody else auto. I still get a lot put ups but not as many. I wish we had some way of getting physical down low, I try pushing l stick into the c and right stick down hoping for bumping or a charge. Often nothing. I also set the slider low post strength to 100. My bet is we will see an update with this issue soon.

I don't know about you but my zones get crushed on rebounds. AI eats me up on o boards in zones. I run a lot of mans and thats where I see the pop outs.

Are you running original rosters? Because if you are not, forget about the pop out!
