Honestly I hope you guys love this game and you play to your hearts are content, its apparent that many of you have a glass is half full approach for the " little game that could" and I respect that "questioned positivty". I have major qualms with this game( the non control of deadball substitutions being one of them) that are too much for me to stand. I wanted this game to be good because college bastketball is my favorite sport, perhaps that is why my opinions are so strong. I hope you enjoy it, but if you pay 60 dollars for this game in 2009 your getting ripped off.

Peace
You can use the directional pad for substitutions on dead balls.

Ray Ray - don't sweat it.... people are going to love the game and hate the game. I'm enjoying Live10 so without a doubt this game will be fairly similar. Those that play 2k are more than likely not going to give this game it's due because it doesn't "feel" like 2k. Again, it's all personal preference.

I just wish a dev would show up and give us the scoop... they are leaving us hanging during the most crucial time of trying to sell their game!!

I'm interested in seeing how different (if at all) the retail version is to the demo. It would seem to me that game play would be at least up to par with its NBA counterpart. But,the Live demo which came out a couple months ago was more polished. Maybe the devs are already aware of the issues.

I wonder why the Broadcast camera is different than the Live camera. Even on Broadcast Zoom the camera is farther away.

I have a feeling that EA stating that 60% of the development cycle was spent on presentation and broadcast integration will come back to haunt this game. Game play wise it just seems unpolished. Rushed. Here's hoping the demo was from a really early build. We'll see.

I love when dudes slap monetary limits on certain games.

This game is only worth $42.28, I would never spend $60 on it.

Also, the shake cam comes into effect when you take the lead, which is cool. The controls feel pretty solid, much improved over last year's mess.

The game pretty much feels like Live but the feel is geared towards college. The other thing you will notice is that the players are a touch smaller so the spacing is much better than Live.

Running the motion offense is fun and to see guys fight through screens is outstanding...
yup u nailed it...

ehh...did you ever get a chance to play the demo over at your friends house?

Played more of the demo and it FEELS like a demo not a final retail. theres times when there's annoying hiccups as well. overall though if it's anything like the demo i'll be happy for once with a game out of the box

I know one other dude who has XBL but he works nights so I might not be able to get over to his place. But yeah, only nine more days anyway.

I'm not really worried bout the demo anyway, I've played enough of Live 10 and seen enough vids of the demo. I think the retail is going to be a lot better than the demo based on what I see in Live now and the difference between Live's demo and retail (and post patch).

Agreed, although I haven't played Live all that much. But given the fact that I enjoyed the hell out of last year's games despite its hiccups, I can't imagine having just as much, if not, more fun with this year's title.

New motion offense, the presentation, the talk of improved sim logic....yeah, I'm going to be fine.

I'm curious to see if the game winds up being better than Live 10. For the last 4-5 years college games have pretty much always wound up better than the NBA version because the game comes out later and more improvements are made. We obviously won't know the answer until after the patch comes out probably around New Year's.

The DNA updates in Live sometimes do more harm than good, I'm excited to get into dynasty mode and see if there are less odd-ball things done by the CPU.

Do you like Live? I played Live and the NCAA demo back to back and I like Live so much more. I find myself playing the demo and thinking about sliders and how I'd change things to make it more realistic.

One thing I've definitely noticed is the fact that the player speed differential and momentum isn't like Lives. Everyone is like a guard. Brian Zoubek doesn't have someone like Yao's momentum.

There are a couple things we may be able to do. There should probably be a speed threshold slider. Which we could make 0 to make the speed differential bigger.

Or we might have to do a big roster project to change everyone's speed. I need to have so that Kemba Walker's speed differential than most players is huge. This could also make it so there are more fastbreaks, since everyone can catch up. For example what we would do is change Zoubek's speed to around 40, and lower his agility as well.

(I pray to god we don't have to do this!)

One thing I like is the lack of dunks. It's not a dunk show but when you get one it is special.

That's what I'm banking on but the demo feels worse than the Live demo to me and the fact that the college game doesn't have all the bells & whistles of the pro game makes me hesitant. That was one thing I could always count on with College Hoops, I knew it was going to be an improvement over the NBA game while still having it's own personality.

I dont know if anyones posted this because the thread is 25 pages long but...

Every SINGLE time I drive I either jump right into a guy and shoot over him or turn the ball over. It is the biggest joke I have ever seen. Honestly, that isnt realistic AT ALL.

Kind of OT for this thread, but I didn't want to start a new topic...does EA allow you to give a player tattoos?
