NBA 2K10 News Post

I and a few others were lucky enough to attend the NBA 2K10 launch party here in NYC.

We were given full copies of the game and are willing to answer questions.

The only thing I'm going to tell you guys right now:

NO QUESTIONS ABOUT RATINGS. We already post them in the NBA 2K10 screenshots section.

Ok, let the madness begin.

Thanks for all the info guys, repeat post here. Sorry if you guys already have this on your list to answer. Just doing this in case I got looked over. Thanks again for yall hard work.

1. Is the save during a game and come back to it later as cut and dry as that or is their a catch to it...like only at the beginning of a quarter or something.

2. How are CPU subs in the game, is it rotated correctly on all modes or is still based on fatigue. Also at the end of games is the main superstar the one the offense is running thru or is is random.

3. Simple question, how difficult is the AI this year, are teams that shouldn't be that good playing like superstars on the higher difficulty settings.

4. Last question, Do you think slider adjustments will have to be made out the box this year or are default sliders giving the desired results?

Is it the same green retro they had for 2k9? Thx for the reply man.

Still waiting patiently for screens of Terrance Williams and Earl Clark. If you cant post the pics if some1 has the game can they at least tell me if they have tats or no tats. Thx in advance for the help guys.

Oh and that commentary at the beginning of your first video ("right at the buzzzer...") - is that ingame???
The leaners with the X button, I haven't been able to pull of as of yet.

The movement compared with 2k9 is similar, but I feel the switch from the ISO motion Triggers to do some moves is making it more difficult to get by defenders. Doesn't seem as natural to me because to get the blow by a defender, you have to active turbo with RT right after you do the move with LT. Then if you miss time it or something, you might do a LT+RT move by accident. I'm not that good with it yet so it is frustrating. Other than that, movement is basically the same.

I have two inconsequential questions:

1) I understand it'd be tough to give a full report, but may you have noticed any new retro uniforms outside of Cleveland and Miami? If I had to pick one team to check, I'd wonder if Detroit has any new retro options.

2) Long shot, but - are short shorts an option for create or edit player (for classic teams, not because I have a general affinity for short shorts). Otherwise, are the classic 50/60's, and 70's teams still wearing super long shorts?

Appreciate all the other feedback thus far.

So the high socks end at the bottom of the knees not covering it is that what you're saying?

I know in the combine you couldn't wear calf sleeves on both legs but from recent Carmello pics I think you're able to do it.

But my main question is the half calf sleeve, does the sock dissapear when you wear it? There should be a gap of skin between the sleeve and sock.

They used to have those in one of the 2K years... I think 2K3 or 2K4. I loved the flow.
you can do those fadeaways in 2k9 and they are present in 2k10. Dribble with turbo lateral to the baselane and the push the and hold the shot stick in that direction and they do a nice running fadeaway hanging in the air falling to that side a bit.

See how in the left leg when wearing a half calf sleeve the sock dissapeared as if wearing an ankle sock.

the long socks cover the knees. the calf sleeves go under the knees and make the long socks disappear when you wear both.

Some people are simply entitled to their information.

Duty? They have no duty to us. This isn't a job to them either. They could very easily be like "LOL I have 2K10 and you guys don't and im not telling you anything about until you find out for yourselves hahahha lolol!!!!!11111!!!", but they aren't. Your question is going to get answered, now granted it may not get answered in the appropriate time frame YOU want but they will answer when somebody gets the chance too(which I see Steve has already answered your question).

so basically, NO. that was the only momentum based fade/leaner in the game, was the one at the baseline.

the nuggets are running and gunning all over me. I also changed some sliders to fancy passing, backdoor cuts, and alley oops and Deron Williams for the Jazz was threw a couple alley oops on some hard back door cuts - just what I was looking for. He distributed the ball all over the place it was nice.

Your first question is easy, tons of articles state from the developers that you can control all teams in association/dynasty.

are you refering to the long or half calf sleeve?

i'm talking about if you wear a HALF calf sleeve with low socks does the socks disapear as shown in the pic?

they should of shortened the half calf sleeve a bit so the sock shows.

So awesome. It seems the upgrade to the tendencies this year is really going to pay off.

Cool, thanks for the heads up, but I was more so talking about the presentation, not to give too much away, but in my player mode a certain "Person" stands up in from of a podium while the draft picks are called. Anything like that in association? Thanks

That is so strange. How did long socks that cover the knees come about?
