NBA 2K10 Q&A: Retail Copy in Hand

I and a few others were lucky enough to attend the NBA 2K10 launch party here in NYC.

We were given full copies of the game and are willing to answer questions.

The only thing I'm going to tell you guys right now:

NO QUESTIONS ABOUT RATINGS. We already post them in the NBA 2K10 screenshots section.

For any one of you guys to answer...

Is the A.I. utilizing pick and rolls more often?

Last year, teams never used pick and roll unless they ran a play that had a pick and roll. That's a pretty big thing IMO because there isn't one team in the league that doesn't use Pick and rolls extensively.

It would be nice to see the A.I. use pick and rolls on broken plays or on the fly.

Thanks for the info! Couple of questions:

1. Are you seeing any sliding? Especially on the triple threat moves or in the post?

2. Have you played online yet. I'm curious if the ol' free-throw shooting timing thing has reared it's ugly head again. It's usually patched afterwards, but it has been there at release 2 years in a row. You know how online you have to speed up your first free throw timing and then the 2nd one is normal timing?

if any of you finishes a full match. Could you post a screenshot of the stats? So we can see things like shooting percentages, rebounds and points in the paint?

P.S. i dunno if it has been asked but how does the new aggresive D feels to u does it work like they say (last year was spose to be focused on D and look what we got) LOL THNX MAN!!!!!!

can someone please confirm the dynamic attendance question? Does the crowd begin to leave if the home team is down big in the fourth with only a few minutes to go? Also, does the crowd EXPLODE like its the 4th quarter of the NBA Finals after the home team scores the first basket in a regular season game, or is it toned down this year? Also, if you have a ****ty record, is attendance down, or is the arena packed like you're 60-0? I really hope this was addressed.

also do the Suns have the 92/93 season throwbacks like NBA Live has this year? Thanks.

I have some simple questions (petitions):

1. Do Legend teams have short shorts?

2. Could please post some full body screenshots of Legends (Either in edit mode or ingame)

3. Can you edit short size for current players?

i guess one of my observations from playing the live demo for a little bit is the fall-away jump shots/fadeaways or step back shots that the game has in store for this year. My question being, and not sure if someone already asked it, but are animations like that in this years version of 2k? It seems like past series the animation for a step-back, fall-away, or fade away jump shot have been using the step-back button and then hitting the jump shot? It seemed like Live had it as one whole animation which seemed a bit more fluid rather than the past versions of 2k

Having had a chance to play the game, are some of those animations more fluid in this years game?

I see Durant got a new face, did they redo is sig shot as well cause it was way off in 2K9.

Are the players still sliding down the court as opposed to natural walking/player movement? 2K9 and the demo for 2K10 looks like players on skates. Second, this is for you Pared. I saw a demo of 2K10 and hear the arena sounds of the Staples Center. You said that you could close your eyes and feels like a true arena. I don't know what may have changed with the actual retail copy, but those are not the sounds of the Staples Center.

May this is just a matter of opinion to you. If it is, we can't debate on opinions and I highly respect your feelings on game sounds.

Whats improved or has stayed the same & how the Draft Class Edit feature works ingame?

Just gonna ask this question again as I haven't seen an answer to it and it should be a simple one to get an answer to.

Is there courtside sim in standard gameplay (not my player) so you can jump in and out of quarters.

Will definitely help in trying to complete an 82 game Association season.
