  • Any new ratings?

  • Any ratings removed?

  • Any new Slider Settings?

  • Any Slider setting removed?

  • Any new rules added?

  • Can you explain a little bit on how the isomotion control works this year around? Like 2K7 and 2K9 where you needed to hold a trigger to activate it, or like 2K8, where you did not need to.

  • Is player control tighter? (uncontrollable dribble moves that made you commit backcourt violation)

  • If you are able to take a look at the Association for a bit, can you take a look and see if AI controlled teams have better knowdlege on positional needs? (Meaning, not trading to the point of being stacked with 4 PG's, and no SG's or SF's.)

  • Are the Summer League and D-League playable in the Association (being able to play full 12quarter games, controlling every player)

  • Anything notable that nobody asked about?

1. Are Defensive Signature Styles in this year's game?
2. How have blocking and rebounding been upgraded this year (goes along with general animations / physics).

Are the static pre-canned suction animations gone? how come i can't control how high a guy jumps to go for a block? why is it based on a pre-determined height or where the ball is? how come height is one of the things that really determines block success? why doesn't vertical affect how high a guy can get when going for a block? jumping is broken too. most guys can jump up to the top of the square on the backboard but you never see this in the game. this goes for rebounds and blocked shot attempts. again, this kills the shot blocking in the game as much of the success is based on player height rather that how high a guy can jump. it's a lot easier to get a user controlled block with yao rather than dwight howard when it shouldn't be the case.

3. Are the rebounding stats fixed?? rebounds off of blocks are not counted in the stats. this has been overlooked for so long and is part of the simulated stats problem.

How has user control been addressed?
For example being locked into an animation

The next off topic post is getting an infraction.

Oh yeah, how is 82games.com going to be used? Is it just for tendencies or will it factor into ratings?

I have some great questions for you to ask the Devs chase -

1.With NBA2K10 partnering with 82Games.com to provide detailed breakdowns on every team and every player in the league and improve players tendencies. Will this be a true software system simular to EA Sports Live365DNA updates, or will this just be simply used as website tool for the 2Kinsider to copy info from the site and put in the game manually?

2.What improvements have been made to the CPU A.I. so that the game feels less scripted and more adaptive to situations going on in the game.

3. How have playbooks implementation improved in the game.

4.Do CPU offenses finally try to go to star players more when the game is in the clutch or if a team is trailing in the game no matter what quarter it is.

5. As far as presentation - what improvements have been added to the halfime show, possibly play by play commentary during highlights? What other presenation improvements are in the game.

6. How has contact in the paint improved to reduce players that score in the paint with easy dunks and layups.

7. Has perimeter defensive rotation been added to the game? This has been missing from the 2K series.

8. Do star jump shooters finally shoot of the dribble more for 2 point perimeter shots?

9. When raising the difficulty setting in game options in past 2K games, the CPU never has played more SIM/harder, instead the game would play more unrealistic and CPU would just try to score in the paint most of the time from passes in the paint. Has this been improved in NBA2K10?

10. With all the issues that NBA2K9 had online, what are the improvements to online play with NBA2K10.

I like to use the best starting lineups, regardless of injuries that occur throughout the season, being that I only play offline against friends and the cpu. I also usually edit accessories & shoes on every player before I even play my first game. I want to know if there will be an option to just download things such as the new animation packages without it messing up our saved rosters. I would also like to know if we can download new players that get signed late in the season to the free agent pool, and then put them on their respective teams from there, instead of again messing up the saved rosters.

Team-up was advertised as a major feature and I had trouble getting 3vs3 games to run without disconnecting, and I know for a fact that we all had great connections as we play together in other online games and didn't run into the consistent issues we ran into with Team-up in 2K9.

Also related to Team-up, will we have the option to choose the team we want to play with in ranked team-up or will there be pre-selected match-ups like last year?

Is post-up game going to be easier to control this year? In 2K9 there were some animations that were a bit out of control. Plus, after installing the patch (I accidently downloaded it via Steam without even noticing) I could hardly back down anyone (yeah, I know I can crank up the "power" attribute, but that's not the way).
Thanks!

* EDIT *

I just read some of the posts here...and Mike Wang is becoming an issue for some here. Let it go guys, it's a team work. You guys who are looking for a sim-game should know better.

IS MORPHING STILL AN ISUE IN THE GAME !!!!!! ? thx

# 71 Mr Magoo @ 08/17/09 11:25 PM
Just a simple one....

Will the 2K Ticker/Insider Info work on areas OUTSIDE the US this year? It worked last year if you changed your console region to US, so it was on the disc but wouldn't work if your region was Australia in my case.

In 2k9, the matches are all pre-determind. No matches involving the Suns since December 08 and also, people who enter the room last always get the star player. Nothing is actually random like it says it is. Will we finally get randoms teams and random players in team-up mode?

1. Will you guys be adding different player running animations?? Example: Would I see Derrick Rose running different than Melo or Nene. I think that would add to the authencity. Like have Derrick Rose move his feet quiker than Nene which moves his feet way slower compared to Rose.

2. Have you guys fixed the sliding issues? Would players plant their feet and not slide like in past games.

3. Does Yao Ming still jump as high as Lebron when dunking? lol J/P. No, but Yao seem to jump pretty high in 2k9 and sometimes pulled out some dunks that he doesn't never seem to actually do in real life.

4. Is there a Derrick Rose dunk/layup package? Derrick Rose haves some unique and sick looking moves that I would love to see in 2k10. I love that you guys keep adding player specific moves, because it does make the game that much more enjoyable.

5. Have you guys added different rebound and blocking animations? I want to see K.G. getting boards like he really wants it, and I want to see Superman blocking shots over other guys. I want to actually see players fighting for rebounds.

6. Have you guys fixed player jumpshots that a lot people complained most about?(Kobe, Rashad Lewis, Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, Brandon Roy, Melo, Mayo, Dirk, etc.

7. What you guys improved on defence this year? Can I really pressure my guy to take a bad shot?? Can I block leaners?

8. What have you guys done with the post up play?? Have you guys worked with foot work this year?

Thanks.

I'll add another one:

How will the commentary work on quick Non NBA Today games?

# 75 cmaff05 @ 08/17/09 11:48 PM
1. Is there going to be a bigger differential between the abilities of players that play different positions than there was in NBA 2K9? For example, is a PF going to have a PF-like handle or will he have a flawless PG-like handle like some do in NBA2k9? I would like to see a bigger differential in the skill-set and abilities of players at each position.

2. On that same note, are there going to be penalties in NBA2k10 for playing players out of position, especially in online play?

3. What has been done to address the cherry-picking cheesing in online play? Do players still have the ability to make a picture-perfect pass across the court to a cheesing guard at the other end, or will they miss occasionally, like in real life?

4. In the game description on 2k Sports, is it said that online functionality will be built into every mode in the game. Does this include practice and association, and if it does, can you elaborate on how online will be integrated in these modes?

5. Is it going to be as easy to score in the paint as it was in NBA 2k9? What has been done to improve the realism of in-the-paint scoring in 2k10?

Whats the PSP and Wii build of the game looking like?
Will the Psp version of the game include online play?
What game features (I.E. association, create a player, my player) will the PSP & Wii versions carry

hopefully we get these questions answered, nobody is talking about these versions of the game when they make the system debut.

1. when i place legends on any of the respective teams to use in association mode, it doesn't track career stats for them in multiple years. Has this been addressed so that i can see their statistics from year to year and also see their career stats?

2. what changes have been made to reduce the dunkfest which goes on with this game? (i have found so many easy ways to dunk that it is unbelievable)

3. is there going to be somewhat of an all-star weekend in association mode?

How will fatigue play a role online against abusive players (kobe, lebron, wade, etc. cheesers). How has the A.I. improved and how closely do teams play to their real-life counterparts
