I noticed JD was tired pretty quick, apparently they didn't tell him about the new turbo system.

Not really much to see here, but the control seems tighter. Not really my type of thing so I'll be waiting for the demo.

That post move looks like the same one that was in the game last year. Looks like he did the normal hop into the lane and then did a simple hook shot by pressing the R. stick towards the goal. The drop step would be pressing the Y button in the back down and stepping down towards the baseline at the goal. (that wasn't a drop step) I didn't see anything new.

It did look like you could break animations a little easier but again, it's still animation heavy. You can tell when the PG was coming up court and was forced into several animations which is one of the things I hate most about 2K.

Looks like for the second year in a row, they took the "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" attitude. IT'S BROKE! FIX IT! Looks like I will be probably playing Live this year unless they drop a bomb on us. The only thing I can think of that may be is that the combine is 2K9 with some fixes and they are saving the real meat and potatoes for 2K10. Let's hope this is true. I'm still trying to give 2K the benefit of the doubt but I must admit, there sure is a lot of doubt right now.
I wouldn't have said it better 2k10 looks like 2k9.1 and I hated 2k9 (I don't like nba jam)

looks like 2k9..nothing to get excited about

It looked alright, I just need to see more to make a better judgement. It looks like they reduced some of the player sliding this year, which is a great thing

I wasn't all that impressed either but you can't watch a 1 min vid and already writing of a game, cats where doing the same thing when they drop the live trailer, I still think its gonna be a good game even though I don't really care for the whole combine thing.

Is it logical to assume that the Draft Combine edition may have slight different gameplay than the official 2K10?

Weak...

Agreed, I didn't see much difference, except it looks like they are trying to implement some footplanting and it looks slowed down.

Yea, there really wasn't much to see in this anyway since it was short as hell lol.

hmm good question though simballer said that this is going to be the core gameplay....maybe he means the spacing and such?

i know they cant cram all 9000 animations in one demo

Yeah I also heard that it will be the core gameplay. If so, then I'll be a really pissed off 2K fan.

true...I noticed the 1 foot vertical on the block attempt and pre-canned animations. some of the physics really lack dynamism...especially on rebounds and blocks. bring back the rebound / block dissertation thread?

im still ploppin down 5 bucks for this the court spacing alone is worth it...plus this is the first time that im actually gonna play association or maybe even a season...

now if they can get me interested in the slam dunk contest...

# 39 lakers4life @ 08/15/09 03:25 PM
Only thing I see different is I guess spacing and the net.

It's a little scary to me that out of the 3-4 post moves which were shown every shot went in.

These are created players with seemingly worst ratings, why are they hitting every post move shot so effectively?

Also, albeit being a very short clip, the rebounding mechanics still appear to have 'out jump the other guy'. This is a premature judgment since I haven't seen any other game clips, but just going based on this video.
