I can't believe people are being so negative about the game after only watching seconds of a leaked draft combine video...

Though, he does sound confident in the game he's making lol. As long as he doesnt come out and say, he's trying to make a game so no one will compare his game to a 5 year old game and failing, then he's doing ok. lol
Oh yeah, I know I know. I didn't mean to imply that they should be working on weekends or anything. I just think some companies may have panicked and tried their best to get out a real trailer. Not 2K though. They must be sitting back and watching the competition for a good reason (we all hope).

Can anyone please leak another video? Whoever you are, where ever you are, please do it.

I wouldnt really call this a leak. When you give a celeb a copy of something thats only a few weeks away this type of thing is to be expected and its not like JD made a vid that pointed out the game's flaws. Besides even the people that are sold or leaning towards NBA Live will be able to and likely download the trial version of the Combine along with the demo so the game will speak for itsself.

The crying will still be out of control. The tenor of the complaining will just be slightly different. In the past when 2K wouldn't show anything until mid September the statement would be "Why is 2K hiding their product?!?!?, the game will suck" Now, with a $5 DLC game that was finished in early July, the statement will, be "OMG, this is NBA 2K9.3.14, they didn't change anything, the game will suck"

In all fairness, when people decide to troll or bash 2K, their posts are usually more articulate then those that bash EA.

I got a kick out of this, because it's very true.

I liked the video. It was something put out by JD, not 2k, off some type of handheld camera. The EA devs ask all the time for people to not to make any conclusions on things like this because it's not an accurate depiction of their game... and that's something that seems to ring true here.

Love the speed and the spacing... I think it's important to know this is a game full of create a players... it's about diving in and enjoying creating a guy and playing online basketball... for those that enjoy sticking to the single player portion of games, don't know how much this will be of use to you. May just have to wait until the NBA demo hits and the full game...

But for those who have been waiting for an MMORPG for a sports game... man...

It's a very fun experience that brings new gameplay to the table (the game plays totally different than what you are used to as you are player locked to your player). If you take it for what it is (it is NOT final 2K10 gameplay), then I honestly think you guys will really enjoy it. More than anything we've put out, this game rewards fundamental basketball and punishes me-first cheeser basketball. There is a learning curve for people who play a certain way, they are going to struggle at first.

Terrific post!

Can't say much from the video but I liked what I saw in the limited time.

So, if Mike Wang leaves EA some day (god forbid!), you're not gonna buy Live anymore?

Once again, let's keep the thread on the topic of the video.

The sequence between 1:10 and 1:22 kills the experience for me. That's not basketball. Those animations in the post are not real basketball. That pass its ridiculous (in a bad way). And the animation after the inbounds its just plain stupid.

I may be complaining too early, but I didn't like this in 2k9, and i'm seeing it again.

I didn't like the video at all. Didn't saw anything new besides the spacing (and it's not a big deal BTW). I hope it's just because JD doesn't know how to play the game. But I have the feeling that it's because of the bad movement of the ballhandler while he's dribbling.

Anyway, I'm just like the rest of you, in 'wait & see' mode

To everyone who hates 2K direction and can't seem to understand Simballers post. You are very welcome to make a thread in the Bastketball "Other" forum (Not Live, the one that's says "Other"), and you can make your feeling know over there. I know everybody have their own opinion, but there is no need to keep repeating it. We "saw" it the first time.

Personally I'm glad to hear some info about this game, The OS vets go through this every year, but we bear it. Because everybody knows the next 2K game up to bat is NHL 2K10, not NBA. Also I like the info coming out of the "other" game, so I hope this year, I can feel good about buying 2 bball games. (maybe 3 if I can get some info on NBA2K10 PSP)

One other thing, what did ppl think 2K was going to give us for $5, the full NBA 2K10 code? (Graphics and all) I didn't expect it, but I do expect something different that I might like. Give it a chance, you might like it. Some ppl hated 24-7 mode until they scrapped it. I've paid more for XBLA games that I never played after the first time

I'm really digging the whole concept of releasing this before the game comes out. Lets face it , by Sept any real hoop head is in full on fiend mode. Plus you get a little taste of 2k10 gameplay and get to experience a new mode. I have to say that sounds more than worth 5$ to me.

Despite the old animations that were seen the control looked surpriseingly tight in comparison to 2k9. Love the spacing and seeing guys off ball no hugging their man.

Also liked to see the guy defending the guy coming off the screen not using the animation I am used to seeing. Knowing how much under the hood stuff 2k puts in their game each year. The vid left me very hopeful.
