I read that, but I doubt you are the sole reason they chose to show that specific screen. It's new this year, many people have been asking for it, and it's one of the most recognizable pre-game rituals in the league. They would've showed it even if you didn't ask for it.
Anyway, glad to see pre-game rituals starting to make their way into the games. I wonder what else is in?

There really shouldn't be any arguing or back and forth...someone posted before that we should be happy that there is competition between the two developers.
Just provide good spacing on the court and maybe make them a little bit bigger to deal with those spacing issues.
All in all, the screenshot looked fantastic, bring on 2k10....and my collectors edition!

VC, needs to stop being cheap with the way they use Anti-Aliasing in their graphics engine. It's time to enable 4x AA & stop just using the FREE 2x AA these systems offer.

I don't understand how one early screenshot can cause so much fussing, wait for some screens/gameplay vids from the final build.
You have already decided which b-ball game is getting your money this year, so why aren't you checking up on Live instead of coming to the 2kforums to talk about Live?
Back on topic
Both Lives and 2ks screen look great nothing fantastic about them but there early builds. Also with them both showing the LeBron pre-game chalk toss shows that there will be heavy competition.
Let's stop sticking to one game & realize EA & 2k are going to push each other. which in returns equals two great games for B-ball gamers/consumers.
Why can't we all appreciate that?
After all competition brings out the best in people a la Bird/Magic.

anyways game looks good hopefully they fixed the little things like the auto steal.. i never have a problem with the graphics.
Why does one have to be a Live fan or a 2k fan?
Why can't you guys just enjoy something for what it is? Must you be fans of a brand to also enjoy a small sample of their products?
I really dislike that mentality. It brings down the forums, IMO.
FWIW, I'm positive in what to expect with 2k10, but that picture, if you were to cut out the part of Lebron throwing out chalk, isn't that impressive.
But that's just it. It's a picture. Nothing more, nothing less.
I've only seen a small handful of guys really complain about the way the game looks. Seems to me it's about the way the game plays and I'm sure the developers know that. But again.... it's a picture. I don't see how anyone can come away impressed or dejected about the status of 2k10 and what the final product will be like based on a single screen shot of an unfinished game.

I look at NBA 2k's graphics and I think, "They're great"
I look at NBA Live graphics and I think, "They're great too"
The last time I was disappointed in the graphics of a sports game was Madden 96 for the PS1, and that game got canceled.
Bring on the 6 page blog on gameplay improvements. Yeah, yeah I know, give it a few months

...I want to see the NBA2K vs. NBA Live "battle" screenshot which would feature either Howard dunking on Kobe or vice versa. Those usually trickle out instead of a screenshot of the same player doing the same thing. I think that the competition is becoming fierce and we as the game lovers, consumers, etc. are benefiting...I wish it was like that with football...

Looks the same as 2k9. But thats a GOOD thing! I could really care less about the lebron tossing chalk thing. After seeing it twice, ur gonna skip through the pregame stuff, right??? So, its really not a big deal. 2k only did it to show EA "anything you can do I can do better" mentality which is awesome! This just means they are focusing on gameplay. 2k seems to understand what consumers want. I can't wait for 2k10!
Personally, for me the 2k9 graphics were good enough. A few faces and skin tones and body types needed to be looked at a bit, but other than that I am looking forward to seeing presentation aspects, franchise improvements, CAP improvements, and general gameplay improvements, and a rock solid 60FPS on the 2k cam. I just hope they really paid attention to certain gameplay elements which we have griped on for the past 7 months.

IMHO, great post. If we get a chance, I want to do this with a few different screens and maybe even videos. Comparing games which look to be relatively close could be extremely valuable for you guys in determining what you want to buy if you are wondering where you want to go.
Of course, it'll also add fuel to the fire for the extremely loyal guys as well
