Seeing the screen for the first time, Looks OK, but from years past last year, it really strange that the graphics look like they have taken a hit, WHY?

Same thing happens every year. The screenshots closer to release always end up looking alot better than the 1st 1 they release.

This was 2k7, and the new shot to me doesn't even come close. I'm still waiting for any 2k game to look this good.

Screen looks aight...The obvious purpose of this was for 2k to demonstrate their version of the chalk toss. I'll jus wait it out for some gameplay footage.

What I'm realizing more and more, especially with next gen games, is that it's extremely difficult to make drastic improvements graphically to sports games in just a year. Unless they develop an entirely new engine, like "they" did, or a new technological advancement comes, you shouldn't expect big changes man.

Like a previous poster said, lets just hope they fix PIP and other issues that hampered 2k9...

I LOVE nba 2k9 and if they just improve the frame rate, polish the graphics, change up the defensive mechanics and add weight in the post NBA 2K10 WILL BE THE BEST BASKETBALL GAME EVERRRR MADDDEEE.

If you are enjoying the game, then that's great. Atleast you are getting your money's worth. If u like the game, then that's your opinion. I know some people who actually like this game. And I also know some people who would prefer 2k8 over 2k9 on any day of the week and that includes me. One of the things I don't like about 2k9 is players can be wide open 5 feet from the rim and it seems they cannot explode to the rim. It's like a delay where they have to gather themselves for 3 seconds. That's not sim. There seems to be an awkard control feel to the game, IMO 2k8 just feel more fluid as I seem to have more control of the players. I am basketball nut and I loved 2k8, 2k9 was just a major step-back for me.

The online in 2k9 is terrible. 5 vs 5 doesn't support 5 vs 5. No lobby's, and reset records every week virtually means there are no records. 2k failed with the team 2k online idea. It took me about a month after getting the game just to figure out how to play someone on my friends list. That's just doesn't make sense. We have friends list for a reason. 2k doesn't tell me who I am going to play, I should be able to pick and choose who I want to play.

I just think Mike Wang is a basketball game genius and 2k9 developement definitely missed his talent with this game.

yo for all you people who are quoting my post it is the truth. live had a pic up about a week ago with lebron throwing up the chalk and the graphics look waaaaayyyyyy better than this 2k pic. Dont get me wrong this pic of shaq is good but the pic of lebron in live just have more realism to it. I love live but the last couple of years 2k's gameplay was better, but this year i think live is taking the crown back.

I just want to spacing and help d problems to be fixed. I want a drive and kick game to actually be effective this year. I want fundamental bball. That's what I'm looking for. I was happy with 2k9's graphics... just wanted a less scripted gameplay feel, and proper court spacing. I'd love to have the court spacing that is seen in the other TWO games. Even NBA 09 had great spacing. That's a HUGE part of the gameplay problem in this game. So lets keep our fingers crossed for a better spaced game. I think part of the problem is the stocky/wide player models. Doesn't seem to have enough height, as they seem more "squatty". I have faith in my man Rob Jones though. I think they'll provide a good experience for us this year.

Stop complaining! 2K9 was the best basketball game ever! If you don't think so then go buy Live! I am tired of you complainers !

You can never tell much based upon new screenshots...especially a single one. Can't wait to see 2K10 in action though soon!

everyone who is saying stuff like" live 10 will take the crown this yr because the lebron screen looks better" shut up. or saying this is the yr for live. how would u know? nobody has any idea about either game all we have is one screenshot from each. the 2k10 screenshot is just nba 2k9 graphics with the lebron pregame animation.....so stop judging it saying 2k10 is not going to be good this yr its a picture!!! lives picture has better lighting wow.....you know live puts time into each screenshot like it was a video. 2k's first screenshots are usually terrible. Im just say live will be the better game this year when you know nothing about the game. Im not on here saying 2k will be better either. and for the record 2k9's online got better after a couple patches. it wasnt as bad of a game as some ppl are saying. i remember last yr live looked great and had fun game modes but was terrible to play.
