I believe Tommie Harris' rating has gone down in each Madden since 06. And I wouldn't want a player that keeps getting injured season after season.

It is hard to come up with a rating for a player that can't stay on the field.

Al Harris 90 Overall = Overrated he should be an (86 tops) His 07 seasons was crap and 08 he was hurt (spleen) played great upon return then the last 4 weeks of the year fell apart.

Harris went to the Pro Bowl in 07. He had 5 sacks in 08, same as 06 when he went to the Pro Bowl.

He is still one of the best DTs in the game.

You misread I have no problem with Tommie Harris and his 90 overall. Al Harris CB Packers.

Oopsie. My mistake.

Manning is not as fast as Hester. He just looks as fast because he doesn't sit their and dance on his kickoff returns. He gets the ball and just goes.

Again I am not too worried about the ratings because I know some players will be getting a bump and if they don't then I have the power to edit their ratings.

I'm a little late to the party, but I see there are some major changes to the overall ratings of players. Hester at a 71, interesting. He had almost 700 yards last year, and that was with Orton's little pea-shooter arm. I know he's not an elite receiver, but damn. 71 rating with 99 speed? He averaged 13 yards per catch last year, which is right up there with Andre Johnson and Santana Moss. I wouldn't rate him much higher than 76 or so, but 71 is 2 away from a D+.

I'm not normally one to complain about ratings though, so I'll wait and see how the rest of the league pans out. I just don't see how some of these ratings became. "The Other" Adrian Peterson is rated the same as Garrett Wolfe? Get the hell out of here. Wolfe absolutely sucks and Peterson is a career 4.1 rush avg back. He averaged 5 per attempt last season when filling in for Forte. He's so underrated it's ridiculous (in this game and real life). How can a career 4.1 rush avg back be rated under a 70? Especially when he's pretty good at everything in the backfield. He blocks and catches very well. He's not the best runner, but I'm not saying he should be rated as one. 69 is just low. Oh yeah, and he can hang onto the ball. He fumbles 1.1 percent of his carries, compared to the Peterson from Minnesota who does it on 2.2 percent of his carries.

It's easy to tear them apart, so I'll just stop. I'm biased anyways. I'll hold off on judging them too harshly until after I see the rest of the teams.

You're right, AP is a good fill-in back. He's not a back meant to carry it 30 times a game. He didn't do as well when i was just him, though he had a lot of pressure on him that year as the Bears had no identity on offense. I still think 69 is a tad low for him. 73 or 74 would be fair.

Manning's speed at 88 is very low. He may not be quite as fast as Hester, but it's not that big of a gap.

The one good thing about these ratings is that it appear as though overall team ratings won't all be bunched up in the 80's. In previous years, almost every team was in the high 70's, or in the 80's.

I think one of the reasons his average is so high is because most teams expected him to be blocking or pass catching when they put Benson on the bench for almost all passing situation. That allowed him to get some good runs on passing downs. When Benson got hurt and AP had the full run of it he didn't do nearly as well as a fill in.

I think he is a great player to fill in for downs needed to rest the number one guy. I would rather see him on the field over Jones though. What do you think overall? 74?
Are you living in 2006?

now i'm expecting a lot out of dj moore, but the fact that he is only 1 pt lower than nate vasher is ridiculous. i know vash has been hampered by injuries and what not, but is still a very servicable player. the three years he was healthy(2004-2006) he had 16 ints. i think he should be more in the low 80's where peanut is, and peanut should be 85 or 86. just my 2 cents. oh yeah, marcus harrison a 68? tisk tisk ea, tisk tisk
