its easy..they said the premise of the game is to be just like what you see on Sunday...well DO IT..in every aspect!!!

if this was the halftime show/report of a real game, the producer would be fired after the first game

BTW..way to whine about the whiners

1. The Extra Point Show is nothing more than a glorified box score window with some fluff.

2. The halftime and postgame shows aren't "Shows", they are a few highlights with no commentary, and the little one-liners are out of place, bland and uninteresting.

3. The franchise mode has some tweaks, but you can't trade future draft picks? I guess they don't ever do that in the NFL. *puzzled*

4. Tom Hammond sounds the same as last year, the commentary during the game sounds bland, robotic, and also ..uninteresting. I can't even believe they brought him back, and if it was because of a contract then someone needs to teach Hammond how to talk human-like...with some enthusiasm...something.

Ugh..i'm so angry right now.

+1

I totally agree with you about presentation which is not that impressive. It should be better next year at least.

Almost positive that the game was supersimmed.

Anyways, yeah it wasn't all that great but it still is a step up from the "list" we got in madden 09.

I was expecting more too but it's nothing really to get that upset about. While all the features are final, there might have been an issue w/ the commentary since these are still builds before the final. If it gets fixed, this would be a lot better.

My man..Not to bring the 2K series in discussion...Their presentation was good back on NFL2k2....lol

Those interviews were bad. However the rest was solid. I guess we can say the half-time/post-game show is bad in Madden, but the other cut-scenes look solid.

Agree. Some people are making it out as if the presentation is "crap".

It's FAR from "crap".

# 108 crenk @ 06/03/09 07:23 PM
The camera angles were horrible. The qb's head was cut off half the time. Way too zoomed in. You need to have a zoomed out television angle for these "highlights". Also some people have mentioned, and I agree the play choices to replay were weak. Hopefully that is because whoever was playing did very short quarters and really generated no highlight worthy plays.
p.s. gotta say in all the vids I am seeing, the qb has way too much time to sit back in the pocket.

I'll do it since TJ isn't here. Wave bye-bye to TreyIM2 everyone. He's taking a "break" from the forums for a while.

I realy think the only thing it needs is some good nfl films music.......Please EA squeeze it in pre release.

See, this is my point - There are people who jump up here just to hate on a game that is STILL a work in progress. That is the part that the trolls up here don't seem to get. It's one thing if u say that the halftime needs work, which it does, but understand that is an E3 DEMO that is going to be broken JUST LIKE the rest of the other games that are there in demo form. There are people who get up here and just flame on Madden just to do so. Those people need to growup.

the more I think about it, the more it irks me. All they did was take the replays out of the little sprint window and make them full screen and autorotate. I dont know who she is at the end but if there has ever been something randomly "thrown into" a game this is it.

And you know what, I mean bad games have stupid stuff in them, great games arent just great on Thursdays, they are great everyday. And great games are great cause they get the best treatment. I am officially concerned about this game. I have had nothing but good things to say until now, but this bothers me cause if we didnt see it, they would be pimping this like its special, which they are doing for the rest of the game which we have only really "heard about" and not seen in action.

I diagree with people saying this is a step in the right direction. All they appear to have done was take last year's system of selecting key plays and added some sloppily implemented and horrendously voiced window dressing.

I'd honestly prefer last year' system where you could pick and choose the plays you wanted to see at halftime and from what angle over this extra point embarrassment. As far as the voice acting across the board, either the audio guys working on Madden are grossly understaffed, under equipped, or, I hate to say it, under qualified.

# 115 ScoobySnax @ 06/03/09 07:28 PM
Wow. You guys need to chill out. Is this not better than last year? In my opinion, we went from terrible presentation, to acceptable presentation. All of this was accomplished in just ONE cycle. Obviously, there are a few additions that were left out, but I can respect what they've been able to accomplish.

Most of you act like what you just saw will deter you from getting the game. Please. You'll be there right behind me at midnight.

I don't understand why we always have to "wait till next year". Just one time I'd like to feel satisfied with this year.Don't get me wrong,I am still ready for August 14th,but looking over most of the threads, every one is already talking "next year",and THIS YEAR'S game hasn't hit the shelves yet....it gets kinda tiresome, none the less this year's game still looks good.

You Forget that EA lost over 1 Billion dollars last year, all the money madden makes does not go to Tiburon...

Remember people Ian said we would be seeing an unfinshed product during the the whole E3 presentation. The game is still more than 60 days away and this feedback we're giving should help them out.

I think you are kinda going overboard. The game still has issues no doubt since it's an E3 build (don't know if you seen it but there is a picture of a missing field goal post lol).

Like yeah, that wasn't that good, but considering that it's an E3 build and also the other various improvements made to presentation in other areas of the game, I honestly can't see how people could get this upset over it. Adding music and making the commentary flow better and play more is something that can be done before the game goes gold.

Im a little dissapointed in the quality of the halftime show, but to be completley honest, i'll probably skip through it after about a week or two of having the game and it wont bother me. I would love a truly immersive halftime show though that had updates from around the league with highlights from other games and things lof the nature that could really set the tone for the game. Maybe 11....
