I for one am pretty sure I don't have the eyesight that a military pilot does.

I'd hazard a guess that if they can see 200FPS, the best I can see is about 40FPS.

I guess im just tired of seeing the some of the same ole things. I guess the best way to explain it is, while some things have improved and some new features have been added, it just still kinda feels and looks like Madden 09. I guess it's the same old game engine & animations thats killing it for me. Theres not enough life in the game... Idk..
give it some time, we have yet to see anything about their new presentation which will add the life to the game we have been missing if its done right.

Interesting, though I find it very hard to believe.

Nice read on FPS - http://www.100fps.com/how_many_frame...humans_see.htm

Per the article, I almost wonder if the 60 FPS is causing the stuttering or what I'm referring to as dropped / missing frames issue.

People all of the videos only run at 30fps the actual game will run at 60 so it so be twice as smooth

I hear ya, even though I already said it's not a deal breaker for me, I understand it is for others and I respect that.

I'd kill for long view.

  • Still looks like there are missing frames when the game is in motion (yet the game looks good in replay.... 2.5 weeks later, and still no answer to why this is the case)
  • Nice to see passes affected by tackles (ducks)
  • Pro-Tak looks really, really kewl
The instant turns really bothers me, I hope they implement foot planting/chopping for change of direction.

I'm probably the only one, but the part of the blocking vid where Ian focused on the DE and the OT, really reminded me of some of the pass rushing from APF.

maybe he got beat? maybe the left guard isnt that good?

lol at people expecting every player to make every block every time. every player to make the perfect read every time. every player to sweat every pass near them. jump for every catch. realize the players mess up!

How long you guys think these will be on youtube? i cant view the vidz on my iPhone

Yeah, but the guy didn't attempt to block him. He stood there and let the guy get behind him then started chasing him. No attempt to keep him in front of him.

not only that, but the dude was trying to show off the qb being hit while throwing animation, did anyone expect him not to "almost bet sacked" i mean we were watching a demo, not 2 dudes playing a game of madden. get a grip fellas.

Same here, it was one of the biggest problems with reading the defense in '09. You could read a defender going one direction, throw the ball, only to have the defender make an instant turn to make a play. It was very unrealistic. Made for a harder game, but took a lot away from what you could do offensively for no reason at all other than that instant turn.

Valdarez...you bring up some good points. But there is such a thing as beating a dead horse....and that horse is done dead.

I'm sure they've read your question...either they don't have an answer, don't see what you're seeing, or don't want to reply. Either way, it is what it is.

go watch a highlight vid of a defensive players and see how many times the o-line player looks "********" because he got beat. players get beat every play, thats how plays are stopped. if it was your way and the lineman never missed a block. the offense would score every play.

Bottom line is that it didn't look realistic.

# 80 SteelerSpartan @ 04/29/09 05:15 PM
180 turns on a dime have to go, and its something that has made the game feel unrealistic. But I think Ian will have this cleaned up a lot by the time E3 rolls around

Nothing wrong with pointing out this stuff everytime we see it if theres a chance to get it fixed with some constructive feedback.....just got to be respectful about it
