I already got this game! It looks like EA has been working hard on this game for about a week. At least we know there will be no colored cleats in this game�Its just madden 09 with some duct tape.

Hand over the license EA, you�re done!

P.S a lot of things I see on Sundays are definitely not seen in this trailer!!

You guys bit off too much than you can chew!!

Why don't you keep posting this until we see a red card pop up in the bottom right-hand corner of your posting screen. I put the over under at 1.5. I'm taking the under.

Did anybody else notice the lack of "shoot em in the chest with a shotgun from close range" pancakes, or was that just me?

PS The red card is a reward for exquisitely intelligent posts.

these developers make big money off the sales of these games, and have happy lives with there family and big houses...and we get the same version of madden every year..im tired of this. tired of spending money on a game that they could add DLC to madden 09...just like Grand theft auto

I didn't like the trailer either but Ian didn't make the trailer. It was probably put together by some marketing guy who took shortcuts to create some "wow" moments. Someone else dropped the ball here, not Ian.

This. Marketing guys are only trying to make moments that will sell the game to people who don't always buy it. They don't know an asymptote from a hole in their graph. (sorry, math humor)

Ian and Co. inherited an EXTREMELY dysfunctional product and were asked to work miracles and crap cucumbers. Not only have the imporved a multitude of things, THEY HAVE COMMUNICATED OPENLY ABOUT THOSE PROBLEMS AND WHAT THEY HAVE DONE TO FIX THEM.

The problem is that some of you discount the work they have already done because the game doesn't appear to be "perfect" by your standards. They did not create the problem but have implemented several things, as evidenced by the weekly blogs they put out, to fix the problems they inherited.

You have to be able to see the small things that are being done to improve the big picture instead of just looking for a perfect product. I am confident that they have done several things to improve this game and I also believe they are going to be busting their tails over the next two months to make this game the best they can. I know it will not be perfect, but I know they are doing everything they can to correct the mistakes, which has NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE IN ONE CYCLE OF SPORTS VIDEO GAMES.

Give it a rest. If you want to voice your displeasure with EA, do so in a constructive manner...little snide remarks are not the way to go.

More to the point of your post, name a game that is part of a series that doesn't use something from the previous iteration? Almost every game does. Very rarely is the next game in a series built from the ground up all over again...and never is it done in 10 months.

This is simply a nice size step in the right direction just based solely off the trailer. You wont really gauge the game until the show better game play videos or the demo.
