Madden 2010 News Post

EA has just posted another Madden NFL 10. This one takes a sneak peek at the Wildcat, screenshots included.

"Hello Madden faithful! This week marks a very big week across the Madden Nation in terms of news - gameplay footage, the cover athlete, and some feature / technology releases. What you might imagine is that is that we (the development team) are extremely busy trying to get the game in good shape for everyone to see. So since we don't actually have a ton of time to spend on the blog, and the marketing / PR folks will be releasing a ton of news about the game anyway, we thought the least we could do was just drop a few quick screenshots to showcase some new stuff we've added."

Only constructive criticism is:
Ronnie Brown's arm looks a bit weird in the screenshot of him throwing the ball. I'm sure there might be quarterbacks who **** their arms back that far, but I feel like it looks a bit unnatural on ronnie.

The screen shots look excellent.

I can't wait to see this in motion in a few days.

Ok so can any player have the towel or just Qb's I noticed Ronnie Brown rocking the towel while playing the Qb in the wildcat. Another question will Chad Pennington be on the field in this formation?

The Raiders put McFadden in at QB and have the QB at wide-out.. then they snap the ball to McFadden and he runs the ball... or sweeps out wide and passes it.....

I'm curious what the definition of wildcat is if that is not it???
^^ serious question.

EDIT: Michael Bush is also put in the game in these formations...

no your right but the raiders only ran the wildcat maybe 5 or 6 times the entire year and i know for a fact they ran it against the Bills in week 3.

oh ya for sure we didn't run it NEARLY as much as the Dolphins did... I was just curious if what we had run was in fact the "wildcat" or whatever hybrid of it....

yea, but for sure this year the raiders will run it seeing as how tom cable is a little more crazy at play calling then greg knapp was. also, dmac not having turf toe will for sure make the wildcat formidable, cant wait to run it in 10!!!!!!!!

haha i may bust it out every once in a while..... but i'm more of a traditional west coast offense guy myself...

which means if the ratings MEAN something this year then i may have to make ol' Russell ride the pine for Garcia....

Hope Ian has a good blog(when the full one comes out) about how to keep this wildcat from going wild with cheese plays.

My reply was about hand towels, but the blog about the wildcat should answers a lot of questions people have.

Dearborn...since you can't seem to grasp that a bug will mess up any number of things.

There could easily be a bug causing the elements of the Dolphins uni to have mismatched properties. Maybe even a 1970s era logo with a current era sun around it. The art team and dev team is working on fixing the problem. One screenshot and you're crying about the sky falling. Calm down Chicken Little.

I was wondering what the GU one some of the teams uniforms stands for, G-Unit?
