Madden 2010 News Post

This week we are starting to go through the rosters and tune each individual player's body to match their real life counter part.

I know as a fan when one of your favorite players is wrong it can take you out of the experience.

So the question to you is: Which players need the most work? Please give specifics. On the flip side are there any players you wouldn't touch?

Thanks as always,

Mike Y

Ted Ginn

Riddell helmet, kicker facemask, clear visor(i know he didn't wear it all season, still) ,sleevless(tucked sleeves), medium white elbow bands, orange train track gloves, hand towel, large thigh pads, colored cleats.

Those arent "Train Track" gloves theyre actually the Super Magnigrip Elites theyre probibly the most popular gloves in the NFL right now.

# 283 KANE699 @ 04/12/09 08:08 PM
But in the game, they are called train track, and if those aren't the exact same glove, thats the closest replicate in the game at this moment, unless they add that exact glove.

Chad Pennington

Riddell helmet, 2 bar facemask, undershirt sleeves, loose sleeves, white qb wrist on left arm, flack jacket, Long white sleeves in cold games, handwarmer, hand towel to the left, large thigh pads, colored cleats.

# 285 KANE699 @ 04/13/09 04:06 PM
Laron Landry

Adams helmet (Standard 1 in the game), robot rb facemask, regular sleeves, long white sleeves (all year round ala Roy Williams), red and white gloves, hand towel on the left, handwarmer on the backside for really cold games, small thigh pads, no knee pads, small black ankle tape, black and white cleats.

He is also about half and half on a clear visor.

I hope they have the right team colors. The dolphins had that green color for accessories instead of orange.

# 287 KANE699 @ 04/13/09 04:23 PM
The black ankle tape cuts off the ability to see what kind of cleats so it doesn't really even matter in this case.

Aaron Ross

Riddell helmet, robot facemask, clear visor, regular sleeves, blue half sleeves, white train track gloves, hand towel to the left, no thigh pads or knee pads, small black ankle tape, white and black cleats.

Tracy Porter

Schutt helmet, robot facemask, clear visor, regular sleeves, long white sleeves all year(didn't wear em in only first game of the season), black train track gloves, hand towel to the left, small thigh pads no knee pads, black cleats.

Also I will start taking requests on these, all I ask is you make sure they were wrong in 09 before asking me to do them for 10.

# 290 KANE699 @ 04/13/09 05:02 PM
Also the Schutt XP needs to get in this year, its the same as the schutt helmet overall on the left but has new earholes and a back plate.

In 09 Kendall Langford and Phillip Merling were way too fat, fatter than Jason Ferguson despite being taller and not weighing as much. Look at the Langford pic, the guy has less body fat than I do, yet in the game he's a tub of lard. Same with Merling; chubby, I'll grant you, but certainly not wider at the waist than the shoulders as he is in the game.

i know this is way late but it seriously needs to be attended to. Darren McFadden has some sort of a feature, i don't know how to explain it but his body is skinny and his legs are really long go to wikipedia.com and look up Darren McFadden look at the pics with him on the sidelines! you'll see what i mean.

and skinny as hell... hope to see that in Madden '10.

Anyway, I just wanted to make a point about Kevin Faulk. He's always so small and skinny in Madden. However, that's not the case in real life. Yes, he is a scat back and doesn't possess great power or anything, but he isn't skinny. Yes, he is only 202 lbs.. but he's 5'8"!! That's roughly 3lbs per inch in height. So if he was 6'2" like Adrian Peterson he would probably be about 222lbs.

If you didn't know who he was, you wouldn't assume he was a scatback from that picture. He's almost in the same build as a Maurice Jones-Drew but not as intense. I'm just pointing this out in hopes of seeing it in Madden '10!... and he should also be top 3 in terms of receiving abilites for a HB. (including spectacular catch) Behind only maybe Westbrook and Reggie Bush. Definitely should be a 99 OVR 3rd Down RB, though.. there's no one better.

Not sure if this was mentioned but a lot of players wear their socks higher and lower than just in the middle..some examples:

High:

Low:

A lot more players seem to wear their socks lower than mid or high.

Can anyone who is involved with the game tell me if the Chargers unis are fixed? Its the bolts that are on the helmet, shoulders, and pants that are always off.

I don't know what that has to do with this thread.

This has to do with player sizez for the ravens

LeRon McClain - is a big 260 pounds runningback, make him look thick please

Marcus Smith - is massive and looks skinny in the game

Haloti Ngata - the guy plays at 360 pounds, hes one of the bigest guys in the legaue so make him look huge,

Look how much he outweighs this guard

Look at hom much bigger he is than a massive Ray lewis, the guy is so wide, probably the widest guy in the NFL, make him huge please.

Ray lewis - he doesnt look as big as he does in real life, the guy is so thick and is a monster, muscles on top of muscles.

Ray Rice - the guy looks too tall and tiny, this guy is like 5'9 but he is so thick, very simialr to MJD, thick legs and huge arms, please fix this

For the most notable non raven please make James Harrison look like James Harrison, this guys legs are like tree trunks and his arms are like tree trunks, this guy is a monster for size but he is short, so make him look really stocky

Also Anquan Boldin needs to be bigger, the guy looks way bigger than he does in the game as someone posted a screenshot which was a great example

So please make theses changes to player sizes and also please allow us to edit player sizes so if we are unhappy we can fix them, also please put tattos in the game, that would rock and also bring back the option of putting black paint on the players faces please

Thanks,

What about some Eye Black, please Add some editable Eye Black in Madden 10... a lot of guys where them and it really helps when some of these faces and facemasks are off. It covers it up a little bit. Please, next get some next gen Eye Black.

Brees, Calvin, Fitz, every CB, to name a few.
