Madden 2010 News Post

This week we are starting to go through the rosters and tune each individual player's body to match their real life counter part.

I know as a fan when one of your favorite players is wrong it can take you out of the experience.

So the question to you is: Which players need the most work? Please give specifics. On the flip side are there any players you wouldn't touch?

Thanks as always,

Mike Y

Perhaps not, I think they got a couple players right (be it they got the body size and type right or the equipment right they got one part right)

But yea all of them probably need some work to some degree.

Here is another one pretty far off in the game.

James Butler

Schutt helmet, rb robot facemask, regular sleeves, hand towel to the left, black wrist tape or black wristbands, red and white gloves, small thigh pads, no knee pads, colored cleats.

Good god I hope that is sarcasm, he is so much fatter in the game its not even funny.

The only thing right about him is the fact that he isnt wearing thigh pads, and he has the right ankle tape and cleats and he is also wearing the right helmet with his dreadlocks behind him.

Do I have to get a picture of him standing up in the game for it to be clear? Everyone else in this thread has noticed this and that was a quick pic I found of him in madden.

He is 40-50 pounds overweight in the game, seriously you cannot be that blind.

Showing someone actually grabbing, pulling, and holding on to someones jersey would be awesome.
good one!!

what i really want to see are the qb with flak jackets and rb, wr, and db with those back plates like in ncaa 09.

Chris Canty of the giants

Riddell helmet, full cage facemask, clear visor, normal taped wrists, blue and white gloves, or red and white depending on what he wears for the giants, tucked sleeves, hand towel left, no thigh or knee pads, colored cleats.

Could you adjust the shoulder pads, they look odd how they curve down and are skin tight around the waist. They are a bit too smooth, need to be a bit more wrinkled with creases if they can be.
Make the jerseys hang over if you could, freeish.

These show decent examples. Also my player to fix Brian Dawkins - Please give him his hige chin strap. Also his player model needs to be tweaked, i think he needs a slightly smaller waist on his model with pretty bigish shoulder pads. Have a look.

One slightly off topic point is could you adjust the stances of defenders before the snap, they don't seem natural to me. Let my guy creep up to the line and if he's up close have him look like he's going to blitz. Sorry to say but 2k5 did this well.

ALSO Make Brian Westbrook a bit stockier. He may be a small back but he has deceptively thick legs, and is a bit bigger than madden shows him.

Dawkins doesn't wear a huge chin strap, its just a large white pad over his chinstrap, and I don't think they will be adding in new chinstraps this year.

There is a lot more work involved just to add something like that into the game, this is one of the many things I found out when asking for additions into the game, some things are easy, some take a lot longer and more man power.

Ok fair point, did you notice muchof a difference in player models at the community day? I know your're restricted but i think you can say yes or no to that..

Let me put it like this, every thing I saw in the game, had made some sort of improvement in some way shape or form.

When tuning my man Clint Session, you can take away his dreads cause he cut them off.

Bob Sanders could also use some tweaking, his arms have been skinny in Madden
