WOW! WOW!! WOW!!!

Unbelievable, I just finished my first game and it was a happy ending.

Rays scored only once with 2 hits and 6 walks (lol) and in the 4th, I ralied against Kazmir. lead-off blooper in center from rollins, werth struck out looking and Utley went DEEP for the walk-off.

hit variety looks good to me, rays had 2 hits and both of them were doubles...STAND-UP DOUBLES! thank you

fielding is improved, it looks much smoother.

check-swings are in the game, but like our experts said, it's more difficult, especially with the pitcher at the plate.

Game plays pretty good out of the box, but I bet it will be huge with a good slider-setting.

Power is probably too much out of the box, I hit a bomb with Utley and one to the warning-track with Howard.
But Kazmir struck me out 4-5 times and I ended up with only 2 hits, if walks are fixed, this is great news.

Now that was pretty cool and all, and I was pleased with that amount of detail. What happened next blew me away.

The next thing I know Charlie Manual (Right?) is out at second base arguing with the umpire. I'm sitting here trying to figure out what exactly he is upset about. The announcers say something to the extent of, "Looks like we got an argument here. The manager seems to be saying the SS never had control of the ball and the runner is safe."

What!! Are you kidding me?1

That is attention to detail at its finest... Time to finish the first inning!
Wanna know the best part?

They had this in the game last year.

I don't follow baseball too closely anymore, but the 1st base coach for the Phillies looks really (and scary) familiar. Nice graphics. Who is that dude? I want to say he played when I was growing up and I had some of his cards.

That Werth dude is huge!

Its the way his arms are being held. In game they are being held flat. He holds the bat straight up.

Ahh...the joy of the personalized stance debate.

Pena is a good example of our "no-win" situation. In this picture his hands are pretty low...but take a look at video from September and October...he has his hands higher...check out this video:

There are many guys like this...sometimes they are up on their toe, sometimes not....sometimes they are a little more open than other times...

The "hands higher, bent knees" Pena is what you will see in the shipping game....if he decides to lower his hands at some point in the season...well, you are on your own then....

Enjoy the demo! And enjoy the game!

I couldnt believe how amazing it was. I hate Kazmir and his slider but I hit a double with Utley that skied over the RF's head and hit the wall.

Utley hit a foul ball and fell on one knee, I thought that was pretty cool.

Matt Joyce hammered a running fastball over the fence which gave the Rays the win, but I just loved how seemless the transition was from day to night.

I can't believe this is an early build of this game. I can't imagine what the finished product will look like. Not to mention all the enhancements (rosters, songs, etc.) the community will add to make the "experience" even better.

SCEA....all I can say is Thank You. Thank you for your hard work and love for the game of baseball. I'm so happy the SCEA is tied to baseball. I would hate to see this effort wasted on a different sport other than baseball.

1st of I need to get this out of the way....

XBL>PSN... took me 1:15 minutes to download & another 20 to install... 1 of the reason I'm not a big PS3 fan. MANDATORY INSTALLS...

Now that's out of the way:

Demo looked great. I didn't change anything in the Menu. Lost on a walk-off.
Spoiler

Only played 1 game, so I didn't see many new animations. I did see:

Jump Throw & a 1st baseman on a foul ball down the line push it in foul territory with his glove.

Pitching did feel tighter. The transition in lighting is great. For an early build the game played very well. Here some screens I took:

You should use the in game screen capture utility... way cooler (and easier).

They still have that stupid thing, where the catcher throws it around the horn and it goes through the batter that just struck out.

Just HAVE to post that right? Don't worry... your Xbox friends aren't going to check OS and notice you're cheating on them... it's a game system; Enjoy it as such.

In the demo can we pitch from the pitcher view? Hope that makes sence.
