Mad props to the group over at SCEA. Just incredible what can be accomplished when pride is taken in whatever someone or a group are doing. You guys have come through with another Banger!!!! Without mentioning some other gamemakers you could really learn a thing or two about putting out a quality product. Again, congrats to all that contributed to this game. Peace!!!!!

move it to 720p and issue is gone but you lose the sharpness of the 1080p graphics
No buddy i'm playing the game at 720p and theres framerate problems while batting and pitching. I even called 2 of my boys and asked them and they said the same thing. I just hope it's demo problem only.

Question:

Once the demo is complete where do you go?

I just played through a game and the final menu gives you the Pitcher/Batter Analysis and Player of the Game options but you can't exit or restart or anything. Am I missing something or do you have to hit the PS button, Quit, then restart the demo each time?

My first time pitching, I gave up a HR to the first batter LOL

I like that the ball looks like a ball now and not a white dot while pitching.

I also like that the pitcher actually catches the ball on the return from the catcher (as opposed to just disappearing in the glove).

Didn't notice any framerate issues, but I play at 720p. Game looks absolutely amazing, almost like watching a real game. Can really tell the developers put a lot of time and effort into this. Makes me sick to think what I had to put up with last year with 2K8.

The first game I played Kazmir didn't allow any hits. The announcers acknowledged it was a nohitter, but there weren't any special animations or cut scenes. No biggie, but it would be cool to see this played up more.

Was the controller movements part of last year's game? Pulling up on the controller to jump, and moving the controller to the side to dive? I didn't get a chance to see try this out.

Is it possible to save replays from the demo? I tried but didn't see anything.

Was hoping to see the TV broadcast view during HR replays, but I haven't seen it yet.

Looking forward to playing more!

Its difficult to see the ball in the daylight when batting

All I can say is WOW. Seriously, WOW!!!!

I'm a signature style guy and I will say I'm highly impressed. Rollins, Werth, Utley, Longoria, Crawford, Pena, Navarro, Victorino all look stunning. Kazmir and Hamels look spot on as well. The graphics are unbelieveably stunning. The players look life like. The realism is top notch. Thank you SCEA.

I didn't see any framerate issue when I played.

Check swings were no problem for me. I had 5-6 check swings during my game. Utley chewing gum while batting. Players adjusting their fingers on the bat while up at the plate.

Fielding seems more user friendly. Huge plus.

Breaking balls and change ups react realisticly. The movement on Kazmir's change had me looking silly. I took a huge hack with Howard and pulled the ball much too early and he fell to one knee.

More to come. Onto game #2.

Just played a few innings on 720p. Framerate drop is still there, it happens once you choose your pitch and framerate is smooth once the catcher catches the ball. Not good.

It's a demo. I didn't see any issues when I played. The guys that were at the community day that played a much later version than us, said there is no framerate issues. No worries.

Thats what I am hoping, can't judge the game based of this early build. I still love what they did with the game, overall i'm impressed

I realize that...but people tend to get a little jittery....not realizing that you guys are playing a build even OLDER than the one we played.
Plus...the game is optimized for 720p

One more thing before I hit up game #2. The catcher calling the game was a bit confusing. I could read what pitch he wanted but after I selected the pitch he would signal location. It appeared that he was always gesturing for a ball down in the zone. I would then hit the L2 button and see that he was actually calling for a ball high, inside, or where ever. I wish you could tell where he wanted location by his set up or hand gesture but it didn't seem to be the case.
