"You can’t go there yourself for several more weeks, but today you can virtually attend a game in the New Yankee Stadium. Developers for upcoming PlayStation 3 game “MLB 09: The Show” have rendered an epic Yankees game in the new building, with new stars C.C. Sabathia and Mark Teixeira in action — and they told us how they did it."

Are you talking '08 or '09?

'08 certainly does not have seams.. its a white dot.

I'm referring to '09. The videos confirm it.

Yes, I saw that too and I hope its gameplay and not replays. I mean, you can watch 08 trailers and they have seams too. I'm not sure why this bothers me but it is really one of few things that I can't get past.

I am on stuck mode. Those stadiums look like pure, un-doubted Greatness. I HATE (Friendly Hate )the Yankees, but I cannot hate on that stadium; that thing looks beautiful and the SCEA team did an amazing job on it. Citi-Field is no less than stellar and they've done an excellent job there aswell. I can't wait to see Oriole Park.

SCEA is giving us baseball fanatics a real gift this year!

Thanks SCEA for the love and respect you give to the best game ever invented, and all the blood sweat and tears you put into "The Show"as well!

This is the greatest game ever! We are so lucky to have such a dedicated and talented SCEA team building this game.

Thanks to all the people involved at SCEA!

I just wished my "Rip Van Winkle" juice would kick in...

I could not agree.

I mean, the first thing I thought of when watching artistic baseball type videos, is my b*tch's and ho's. And dont forget the bling and 24's spinnin'.

I really hope they make turner field look better than last year. Most stadiums last year looked great but for some reason I think turner field looked the worst by far. Anybody agree?

I am a little concerned about this since it was not mentioned at all on the fact sheet (on the PlayStation site). I know that in the scope of things it's not that big of a deal, but with all the attention that casual gaming seems to be getting these days this mode would seem like a no-brainer. HR Derby would certainly appeal to the non-hardcore baseball fans that just want to take some swings for the seats. I am still hoping that they are waiting to announce this as part of a bigger "All-Star Events Package" or perhaps even some sort of integration with Home.

*fingers crossed for 3rd year in a row*

@magoo
i agree with u...
and i think this would be a great mode, although not very important, it would be nice to just pop in that and take some hacks from time to time.
or make a contest with friends, it would be quite fun, specially if u put licor in that mix! LOL

I think the BP was the more important to get in imo. Overall it just has more legs as a feature. Everyone benefits from some BP.

Funny how something as simple as BP has me thrilled as well. The ability to just HIT in any park is going to be a blast. And talk about a small thing being thrilling....the fact that all the balls you hit will be scattered around the field! Such a small detail, but SO cool.
