"You can’t go there yourself for several more weeks, but today you can virtually attend a game in the New Yankee Stadium. Developers for upcoming PlayStation 3 game “MLB 09: The Show” have rendered an epic Yankees game in the new building, with new stars C.C. Sabathia and Mark Teixeira in action — and they told us how they did it."

Fair enough! I wasn't complaining or anything, I was just confused. Thanks for clearing it up.

I agree with others, I hope that is the new Home Run camera angle. Very nice!

O well can't have everything.
Mike - I may just be seeing things, but the flag animations look improved to me. Yes, they are all blowing out to right, like usual , BUT I really think they look better.

I still don't like the camera showing the batter on HR's. In the Citi Field video, you see a closeup of the batter as he watches his HR. I wouldn't mind seeing that view on a replay, but during live action, I think it takes alot of drama out of a homerun. Oh well, if that's the only complaint I have, then I guess things are looking very bright.

Same here. Let's just say the camera we see on the home run is not the gameplay cam, but is instead a cut scene. I hope there's a way to keep the cut scene, but take away the batter cut scene.

There's just something about watching a crushed ball all the way into the stands. Very dramatic. The batter cut scene is not something you ever see on TV (except during a replay), so I hope there's a way around it in The Show too.

If you turn off the HR celebrations in the options it won't close up on the batter and you get all the suspense/drama.

Yeah, I know that worked the last couple of years. But...I hope the new and improved "homerun cam" isn't also disabled by turning off HR Celebrations.

To he who asked, the ball does indeed have seams during regular gameplay.

It's like an alternate universe. I honestly had no idea that the Show would evolve to this level in one year! I'm in love!

March seems so far away and wouldn't you know it I've misplaced my Rip Van Winkle pills...

True, but this game still has a ways to go. Everyone wants an upgrade in player models, and with that will come new (and hopefully improved) signature animations. Then will come (like you said) accessories, hopefully improved cloth physics, etc.

But so far, everything else, especially stadiums and lighting, are nothing short of the best I have ever seen.
