Dont know if this has been mentioned, but OMG I found situational substitutions. Pause the game go to substitutions and hit R1 or L1 and you can change the situations there. Starting 5, three point, Small man, Big man, Free throw, Bench,

Yes, this is what I have been using....too bad you can't access situational subbing in the quick sub screen.

I saw the other thread and posted in there, but got no response.

I'm not seeing anything outlandish in that area...i control the weakside forward when I am playing a zone. usually I see the cpu either get a few backdoor cuts or wing jumpers, and then i switch out of it.

So im going after the #1 Recruit in the Nation, C- T.Butler who had low interest in me (post patch). i get a email from his HS coach saying " I've Heard you may need help landing T.Butler. I could talk to him if you want. By the way are there any Assistant Coach positions open at your school?" i responded to his email now im high on his list. i thought was cool and a nice touch by EA.

lol...thats pretty cool. Anyone know yet if there are recruiting violations in this years game as there were in March Madness? Will we have to carefully choose are strategy to win over a recruit.

i just realize recruit ranking go up and down as you progress through your season.

you also can clean up your short list by clicking on the player you dont want and hitting Square (ps3) to delete him off the board.

Holy crap, thank you. It would be nice if the developers told us this earlier.

quick question

can you edit players hair? I noticed Pat Patterson has no Fro and Florida's Dan Werner has long hair. Thanks!

to an extent. You are given a set amount of hair styles based on the player's complexion you choose. Its really limited this year.

I'm trying to make this game grow on me but after 2 days it hasn't. I'm thoroughly disappointed. The payers just look and feel awkward. They don't even look like they belong on the courts. I can't quite put my finger on it but it looks like the players were designed for another game and they were pasted on these courts. I will admit that this is better than past EA basketball efforts but I just can't see myself enjoying this game that much. I'm willing to play more and give it more time but so far, I'm not real pleased.

3 games into my new updated dynasty(authentic schedules, post patch) and I am absolutely loving this game. 3 different games, 3 different flows.

Morehead State was a nip and tuck game through the first half as the score was 31-25 me at the half. In the 2nd half, we flexed our muscles, settled down against their 1-3-1 and put up 46 second half points onto a 77-54 victory. We opened the second half on a 18-0 run.

Next was Western Kentucky and the rout was on from the beginning. I opened up 15-0 on them and they burned 2 timeouts in the first 5 minutes. I led 41-26 after the half. Second half was pretty much the same although they crept back in after I put in the bench(Steiden played 7 minutes) and I cruised to a 76-49 victory.

Last game I played was vs Indiana State and we struggled in the first 8 minutes or so. Couldn't get into rhythm offensively, turned the ball over too often and let them hang around. I was up only 10 at the half. The second half, just like the MSU game, we flexed our muscles and routed them 88-60. We were up 37 before we put in the bench and they went on a 12-4 run in the last 4 minutes.

Damn, I am loving this game.

Hopefully I'll be picking up the game today, because I'm really having that college basketball itch right about now.

nice read! especially since this is like the slowest day I ever had at work!

But yeah, I can't wait to get my dynasty started tonight (since the patch is apparently out for the 360 now. I only wish they had online dynasties this year! I would love to be in a college basketball dynasty with some of you guys!

Don't you just love the battles you get into when you play the lower level teams. Man when they get the 3 pointers going it becomes a tough match.

Yeah I'm in one now. I am up by like 12 right now, but Ohio U is hanging tough as they are 6 of 8 from behind the arc right now. And 4 have been contested.

Thats ok though, our defensive pressure is starting to get to them and we have them playing up and down basketball now and they don't like that very much.

Yeah I love that basically any game can be a "trap game" if you don't stick to your gameplan and play well. Any of those scrubby teams can get hot and put a scare into you -- I lost 52-50 to Georgia Southern as LSU because I made some dumb mistakes towards the end of the game after basically coasting through the first 3 quarters while expecting to be able to turn it on at the end. I took some bad shots early in the clock instead of running a set in the 3rd quarter and I know that ended up burying me.
