I love VC to death, but to not have this game running @ FULL 4X AA in the series 4th installment on NEXT-GEN is a IMO

Honestly... I'm glad they don't push it if it looks terrible. We all know what happened with MLB 2k8.

This could be due to game speed, though. So, correct me if I am wrong there from those who have the full game. I also noticed Rondo burn by me with Fisher and I said to myself, wow, that was nice!! Only for Rondo to hit a brick wall in Gasol and then boom. Rondo is running right into his chest while his feet are still moving like he was on a treadmill. This is the only problem I've ever disliked about the 2k series. Again, it could be due to the game speed this year. I will have to wait and check it out.
I do feel the slippery effect when I am playing this game as well. Oh well

I would agree, but the colors are more vibrant in the PS3 version if you are using component on your 360 like I am. The sound is better on the PS3 as well with the 7.1 PCM. If you have a nice surround system listen after you make a shot you will hear someone clapping in your right speaker sometimes on the PS3, but not the 360.

If you have both systems I think both games play the same, but it will come down for people what controller they like better and how much you play online. If you don't care about online or the bigger controller the PS3 version looks a little better with the HDMI connection if you don't have one on your 360. Also, like I mentioned earlier the 7.1 sounds really good. I am on the fence now, but I think I will be leaning toward the 360 for the bigger controller and better online capability.

Do not like both. Never ever did. I tolerated it in 2k7. In 2k8 I just gave up since I felt the control was better in NBA Live 08(I said CONTROL) and just stuck with NBA Live 08. NBA Live 09 is much better letting me do what i want to do with my controller.

But now with 2k9 I'm TRYING to tolerate it because very other aspect is good

It's mostly noticeable from afar and at certain camera angles.

When you zoom in the game looks much better but some textures look just... bad, IMO. Again, PS3 here.

Man Tomba you gotta use the shot stick man. Buttons to shoot the ball are obsolete. Just go in practice mode and play around. You have SO much control man

The only reason you think you don't have control is because you don't know the commands. TRUST when you get it, there will be no turning back

I know exactly what you mean.. but that's a trade-off for the numerous amount of animations in the game. Sometimes you'll get something that you didn't want but IMO, that's rare. It's tolerable and has gotten much better over the years.

You should really learn the shot stick man. Once you understand it, it's very, very good and full of depth.

Blah. I'm working a 28 hr shift... starting this evening at 4pm. No more demo playing for me. I have to find my camera cord before I leave though. Just threw a couple of sick oops to KB24... then Pierce finds Ray Ray for an oop on the other end.

I see many of you saying the controls are much more responsive. Am I the only one having trouble pulling off the isomotion moves at will? I had these almost down to a science last year, but I can't seem to get them when I want them in the demo.

Yea dude exactly the same for me. I feel that the game is more responsive but isomotion is definitely different. haven't figured it out yet

# 538 Sluggo @ 10/03/08 11:29 AM
after playing both versions

360 looks better

# 539 Shakedowncapo @ 10/03/08 11:30 AM
The oops in this game are truly awesome...

Im gonna be in practice mode a lot throwing some up!

And the FT routines...Damn near perfect and I like how there no more generic "idle" animation after the dribble!

# 540 swetooth9 @ 10/03/08 11:32 AM
the graphics don't look as good as i thought they would...i'm hoping it's b/c they can't fit so much graphical greatness on a demo...i'm playing on an hdtv too

anyway...i'm starting to get a feeling for teh controls again...at first i got manslaughtered like 8 to 2 while i was the lakers

when i played as the celtics, i got a steal in traffic with ray allen...drove all the way to teh basket in a 2 on 1 (rondo was the other one) vs kobe...i passed to rondo, he went up for the layup and kobe blocked it against teh backboard, it was sick

edit: post moves are also a tad different this year as well as isomotion...either that or it's from the camera angle i'm not used to
