Why even waste your time? EA has enough on its plate with the problems they have, starting with how bad Live 07 was and how to never do it again.
Just talking about GENERAL IDEAS man. GENERAL IDEAS have nothing to do with different coding or engines.

The one thing I'm very curious about is how long its going to take to produce, shore up, and then implement these animations into the game...this seems like the process could take a long time.

DC, im sure they figured that out.. those guys are all creative so im sure they had ideas of their own

Anyways why is Benedict Arnold still posting on this mesageboard? Didn't he already sell his allegiance to Live ????

With stuff like this its all about infrastructure. If they built a great interface this won't take as long as it would traditionally. Hopefully that is what they did was provide an interface simular to what live pc guys had to change certain parts of the game, without having an effect on the others... i.e. all the mods made for those games...

If they did that then this feature would only get better with time as they add more things to that infrastructure that can be updated... like graphics and commentary.

Some of the same people were down on 365 saying it was a gimmick is now all of a sudden saying it roxxorz
You tell me the difference when Live fans were saying this year is when Live surpass 2K9, even when their was little to no info released on NBA2k9 and its features, or when people were saying 2K9 will be 2K8 with updated rosters? Don't be selective and call out one group, or fan base because BOTH sides are guilty of being overexcited about certain things.

Do you see any NBA Live fans trashing 2k's feature? Calling it a gimmick but and saying silly things like OMGZ when EA introduced the same thing?

I don't but i did see it the other way around.

I think anyone involved in the entire discussion of who's better than who because of one feature is nuts, but since im in the 2k boards, i was speaking on what i've seen on the 2k boards and specifically because 2k information just came out.

Im not trying to be the balance beam, just posting my observation.

Whats better is a matter of opinion in the first place. I dont really care about any of that because im buying both games.

It could be a nice roster update or it could be a godsend down the line. Im hoping for the latter.
you know what they havent mentioned and its something that is just like live 09. its the fact that you can CHOOSE which roster or update to play with. One of the french website screenshots shows under the team in the team selection screen, the word "CURRENT" which im guess is the current rosters.... im guessing you can go back with a simple click of a button to other roster PHASES.. instead of saving each one and going into the load screen and doing it that way, its 100 times easier here. its basically lives interface as well

Then again with the new animations, i dont know how those will be handled in regards to saves. are these rosters an internal "DLC" to your harddrive save or is there something tangible about them? itll be interesting because with the new2kshare feature, rosters can be shared.. im confused now lol

# 255 blingballa333 @ 09/18/08 02:08 PM
Yeah, it's goin to be interesting how all these features fit together. Like if you use 2kshare to find a created player's dna to add to the most current living roster will that created player stick with the roster through another update? Hopefully they can go a little more in depth of how these updates are to effect things. Because if it does screw with manual changes to the roster when the next update comes, it looks i'll be using 2kshare and my knowledge to update the rosters. But i guess im just going to have to see how the system works when the NBA season starts.

I'm hoping by all this, that it means that rookies who get rated too high to begin with(ie. Marco Belinelli) will have their rating decrease over time if they're not getting any PT because of their skills.

# 257 23 @ 09/18/08 02:10 PM
Brolic, this is a 2k forum though, i dont get why you're upset about me not calling out Live fans in the 2k forums..lol

Reuben.. we should wait to see if they explain the feature first

# 258 Epiffani @ 09/18/08 02:21 PM
My point was, you were in the Live forum where Live fans were having a similar reaction to getting info and a demo, and yet you didn't call any of them out like you've done here for being overly excited. Anyways, I'm off. I'll check this website tonight for the on the spot preview.

# 259 23 @ 09/18/08 02:47 PM
Sooo what do you guys think of the guy on the screenshot that looks like a cartoon Stephen A Smith?

# 260 Mr.Clutch_Knicks8 @ 09/18/08 02:52 PM
