One thing I've always disliked about Association in the past was that I had a hard time keeping track w. the rest of the league. The NBA.com thing looks awesome and should let you get deeper in to your Assocation and have a good feel what's going on across the entire league.

It should only affect exhibition mode. If you're playing an association, that should be independent of whatever is going on in the real life NBA. Main reason being, your association will move faster than real life.

Pretty much, but one thing about it, if you're playing online, I guess it gets rid of people like JJ Reddick being plucked into the starting lineup.

So the only time I"ll really use this feature is if I see a great game on TV and want to replay it in 2K9 in the following day or two.

Compared to last year any update will be great.

Roster updates during franchise would be tough to do. Imagine if in your franchise you were tearing it up with someone, but in real life they were terrible. Should the overall rating of the player go down?

Exactly, it just wouldn't work. That's the whole point of franchise mode in a sports game, it creates your own virtual world were anything can happen independent to itself.

The same exact thing the Live is pushing. If you weren't impressed there, you won't be impressed here.

I am honestly more impressed by Live's feature. But I am pretty sure they won't use it as well as it COULD be used

Which is amazing that the fanboys in here are like ZOMG!! 2K killz livez again

Now the possibilty of adding new animations is intriguing, but I wonder how they plan on doing that. That's amazing if they pull it off with frequency.

Other than that, its the same thing, but Im glad both games have it.

Execution is the key, and as I said about 365 from jumpstreet, we'll have to wait and see how its handled before we label it great.

It's all about marketing.

2k8 had animations added post-patch as well. What's the difference between last year and this year?

This year they're actually marketing the feature.

It actually isn't. Until I can be shown that 2K has the tendencies (which I am more concerned about) that Live has, I have to go with Live.

Pick N Roll/Pop/Fade Frequency
How often they drive right/left
Isolation Frequency

ON PAPER, Live's system is more exciting to me. I am pretty sure 2K has the same general tendencies that they had in the past.

I am not saying Live will be a better game or that Live's system will work BETTER than 2K's system.

I am just saying that the depth of their system ON PAPER is much more appealing/authentic

It doesn't make sense for us to go back and forth on this. You can believe what you want... but you're wrong...
