We are getting very much off topic and if we are going to continue, I rather start a new thread but let me be clear... I think that both CP3 and Deron Williams are 2 very good players. CP3 IS probably the best PG in the league right now and I would even argue that he has had a better impact on his team than AI has had with his this past year but what Im talking about is individual player skill/IQ of the game. They both already have my approval and are fun to watch. Now that thats out of the way none of those guys can take over a game or is as dominate as AI. None of those players present as much of a problem to the defence as AI.

The only thing he is clearly better at than those two is scoring and he is tougher, thats it. Paul and Williams are better ball handlers (AI has lost a step), passers, and defenders (AI had in my opinion his worst year from a defensive standpoint last year). As far as the playing the role of PG and using the pieces around you to the best of your abilities, Paul definately has the advantage their.
AI has not elevated Melo's game since hes been there while Paul has turned a guy labeled as a draft bust (Chandler) and a player who had trouble finding his role in the NBA (David West) into All stars. Not to mention revitalize the career of a guy who many people thought was on the verge of retiring after major back surgery (Peja)
AI will only help a team by dominating individually if the team is built around him, this will never happen again for the rest of his career. He doesnt know how to compliment an all star.
Who is tougher to guard is debatable though. AI can score in man ways, Deron Williams is huge and is difficult to stop from penetrating, and Paul is very fast and at times seems like he can do anything he feels like. All 3 are equally difficult to guard on any given night, but its not about that. Its about who helps their team get to the next level and win. Deron Williams and Paul are doing that. AI? im not so sure.

2K9 thread people, not the "Who is better Ai or CP3 thread". Stop wasting everyone's time with this bs.

Agreed, move along on topic fellas
Zephyr... yes
This info has me geeked to play Association for the first time in years! But there are a few things I wanna know:
Did they fix the way the All Stars/All NBA/All Defense/Rookie teams are selected? It should be 2 guards, 2 forward, 1 Center, not one of each position.
How will the draft be?
Since we have living rosters, does that mean EVERY player will be available now?
Will the commentators make mention of you approaching a milestone or breaking a record during the game? Speaking of commentary, will they mention any transactions that have taken place, key injuries or coach firing during your season? That would be so ill!
Yes...I think

thanks KDRE...
so I haven't read the opinions but DC pretty much said this must be game breaking for him to be satisfied... and this is far from from "revolutionary" though neat.

Well the fact that they'd make the effort to update the game throughout the season, even with new animations is groundbreaking enough for me. Granted, it'd be more amazing if they had announced this prior to Live 365 being announced. But impressive nonetheless.
I mean, this is the essence of "Made Fresh Daily." This is not just tendencies/rosters being updated daily but the game itself being updated throughout, more often than just one patch for 12 months for gameplay. This is huge, especially if you consider how early we might find bugs or something and if they can be resolved almost instantly by adding/subtracting animations without having to wait 3 months for a patch.
And you guys wonder why 2k holds back on all the info. They just wait for Live to throw their big features out early and then proceed to combat them in secrecy, the one-up them.
But, as yall said, 2k does have a track record when it comes to updates. But I'm thinking it'll be a whole lot different this year.

wow 2K9 is looking great. I'm glad to see a lot of work done on the Association.
wow! new animations being added during the season is pretty much unheard of...i mean i remember patches taking out some unwanted or toned down certain animations but to completely add new animations is something really new
does anyone know if the player models get updated as well...lets say Anderson Varejão decided to go baldy in the middle of the season will the ingame Anderson Varejão get an update to?
