Wait until you play it. The issue is more responsiveness than anything else. When you see a video, you can't tell that someone pushed that button a good 1-2 seconds before the player responded. It's not horrible, and once you start working with it, rather than expecting it to be something it's not, it's a basketball game. I think Sage said it earlier; it does feel like basketball. Great basketball? nah. Good basketball? honestly, maybe not. Decent basketball? Sure.

Floaty passes and stopping to catch the ball really kill the flow of the offense.

Spent a significant amount of time with the demo to say and I think I'm leaning towards not purchasing it for the 4th straight year. I hate to say that too because I really wanted to have a second option for basketball this year since basketball games are the only games I can play year round and never get sick of them.

I just made an alley-oop (Pierce to KG), and when I pressed LT, the replay come up with a Top 10 nominee.

Is that announced? I read every post here and in other forums, and never read nothing about that.

Anyone knows something?

Nope that wasn't announced. And if it's Top 10, then we might have a halfway decent postgame highlight showing this year.

And BTW, how did you throw an Alley-Oop?

There were moments in Live 08 that this was a problem too. I sometimes dont jump on defense to contest a shot or whatever because it just wont respond for some reason.

I really hope the final version has this fixed.

I hope that Top 10 involves all the games of the day in season mode or franchise. I know its just my desire, but... you know it would be awesome

Wow. This game is about a year away from being really good. I really like the demo alot. I think the playcalling is great and way more realistic and better than 2k8. The post game and defense is great and I love the fact that if you gamble on D you can end up getting burned. The atmosphere, sound and commentary are the best I;ve heard in a basketball game.

The only issues are that the controls and animations are kind of stiff and the cpu makes too many shots so far.

I agree with you man, I haven't said anything about it, but I really do like the playcalling. I love how there are multiple variations of each play, sometimes 5 or 6 different variations. It's simple without cluttering up the floor with play art.

I can agree with that. Since 05, I really couldn't understand anyone who played Live at all. It was arcadey, broken, stupid...ya'll know. All that bad stuff.

Now, I can definitely say that I understand people who like it. I can understand the "Live crowd" for 09. If I got this game for free, I'd probably try to do a few things in it, because now it feels like basketball, and I really needed that before I took my boot off of Live's neck.

March Madness is still in the doghouse though.

Steve Kerr immediately said during the replay, something to the effect of 'KG has learned to turn inside over the years as to avoid shotblocks' or something to that effect. Don't remember his exact words, but I was like

There's only one thing I don't like about the play-calling. I'm hoping it can get addressed for NCAA.

I have a technical problem and apparently i'm the only person experiencing it.
The demo has frozen on me 4 or 5 times now. A couple of times in the gym and also during the actual game and loading.
Not sure what the problem is, no other game does this.
Anybody else having the same thing happen?

What kind of freezing? Like purple squares on the screen? If so, that's probably an early sign of RROD. That's what mine started doing just before it RROD'd, it's a sign of video card failure.

No, no purple squares. It either keeps the last screen frozen or it goes to black.
The whole Xbox freezes though, i can't go back to the dashboard or anything. I had a similar thing happen in Madden, looks like only EA games are giving me trouble.

Mine froze after the 1st quarter. At first it was just showing the players standing around during the timeout. I could pause the game but it wouldn't advance to the 2nd quarter. After that it froze completely.
