Madden 09 Quick Patch #2 Update From EA

I'm back now and wanted to relay some news - we found and fixed the Franchise freezing issue that some have been seeing and decided to delay the patch a couple of days in order to get that in. Major thanks to this community ...a few folks here on OperationSports actually emailed me PS3 Franchise files which allowed us to track the issue down much more quickly. You guys rock - as always!

The patch is now at our internal quality control group, and then on to Sony and Microsoft by (we think) Friday.

We are still targeting about 2-3 weeks from now for the patch to drop, and of course I will keep you updated as things progress.

It would freeze on me when i trained my players then went directly into the game but if i back out and save after training then reload it doesnt freeze any more.

I just found out that EA has made enough earnings for the year to make a huge profit because of the millions of madden games sold, thus they are no longer care about the customer so the patch has been cancelled

Madden had its first patch on release day for PS3 and 2 days later for 360.

My guess is EAs monopoly on the NFL brand is the reason why they take their sweet time.

I'm growing impatient here. I bought a game over a month ago, and can't even play it properly yet. For crying out loud...there should be an expedited process for a game as big as Madden when it comes to releasing a patch. No way consumers should have to wait this long to enjoy a product the way it was intended to be enjoyed.

MS needs to hurry up and release the patch.

you just know that this patch has been sitting in a queue somewhere doing absolutely nothing.
Its all about red tape and processes my friend.

It exits everywhere. But I agree, this patch should of been escalated through if at all possible.

You can't tell me that MS and Sony have been rigorously testing this patch out for 2-3 weeks.. no freakin way

I am going to suggest that we maintain a maturity level about this. Like EA or not, I don't care, but conduct yourselves in a way with respect and maturity.......if you can't, please go away and learn how.

I am sure it is and thats the way it should be. Madden patch is no more important than patches submitted before it for other games.

I am curious as to what the process for patches is like on the console makers end. What are they doing? What are they looking for before it goes live?

Oh and if you're hoping to have it out anytime next year or the following year, you might want to start working on it now. And I suggest hiring a few friends to help you out. Its gonna be a tough task, good luck.

Its coming, wont be long now.....look for it around Halloween.
