I really got to say that this game is very fun now. I always find the positive in the game, as complaining about something is just too easy to do. I had fun with this game pre-patch, and now I'm having a blast! I play a 12 team dynasty, on AA, 9 minute quarters, with mudtigers AA sliders. I adjusted the run/pass ratios to what Hookem had, and increased all CPU controlled teams aggressiveness on offense.
This game is awesome now. The offense can actually move and instead of being number 1 ranked against the run, i have now moved up and down the list. Passing is very good, with a good number of deep balls being caught, broken up, or intercepted. Fumbles occur, but more likely on the HUM side than the CPU. I usually get about 1 fumble per game, but only recover it 1 out of every 5 games. I play with the DE, and usually pressure causes the QB to escape the pocket, with the DE knocking the ball right from him. The hitting on this game is intense.
I gotta say, for those of you who are having a hard time with this game, try playing with everything the way I have it. You will see a massive change in the game play. I had only lost 2 games pre-patch and now I've lost more than 5 games post-patch, including 3 in a row. The offense actually gets more in terms of Time of Possession now. They can seriously run the ball, no matter what kind of defense/blitz you have on. This is good stuff!

I turn it up depending on the teams "real life" downfield mentality. For instance, Michigan was a pretty good vertical team. They would pound the ball, then go Play action, and over the top. In the game, their offensive aggression is about 55 (don't kill me if Im wrong, I changed it along time ago). What I did was bump it up to 70, which has the cpu taking a lot more downfield shots. Not just on fly routes, but posts, wheels, and even RB streaks. Every team that I've played has the ability to move up and down the field. I've had about 90% of my games be decided by 7 points, win or lose. Recently, it has come down to whoever has the ball last wins.
With this aggressive, you'd be surprised that the CPU AI does not turn over the ball that much. So, what I did to test this out was take a feel from the real life counterpart and add to the aggressiveness. Do not take away, you must add. I'd say to stay within 20 points of the original number. And base teams off of this being the highest, ie Texas Tech getting the 20 points, while Texas A&M only gets 10 points. For teams that are run heavy, use about a 5-7 increase. The majority of the teams will be in the 12-17 range.

Can you change all of the teams' aggression in your franchise and if so, where do I do it? I've never tried this before.

capone2117 can you post what you have for the teams. I want to add them in but dont want to put the wrong numbers in. Is the higher number more conservative and lower more aggressive.

Where do people find patch notes on this stuff?
Also, does someone have an ultime slider setup for a person who plays at on level below Heisman?
Thanks for anyone who takes the time to help me Mr. noobie.

The first fixed the roster sharing issue online so rosters could be shared and not corrupted.
The second patch fixed the sliders so they actually worked (the human sliders affected both human and cpu at release, the cpu sliders did nothing). The second patch also fixed the kickoff coverage so that kick returns and especially punt returns weren't so easy anymore. Those were the two big fixes of the second patch. They also made some minor corrections to the defensive coverage so certain things were more difficult.
OK thanks for the help, and anybody eles with a ps3, can explain how you get the patch like is it an automatic update or do you gotta do stuff??

Ok guys I am sorry but I really don't feel like going back and reading through a ton a pages for this answer, but how is the game post 2nd patch? I got rid of it right before it dropped. I really couldn't stand madden this year but pre patch ncaa was ok. Would it be worth picking up again?

Either way, if you liked the game pre-patch, you will only like it more post-patch.

The whole thing with not being able to keep players from leaving early in Online Dynasties was not fixed though right? I am Commissioner of an OD and one of my players complained when I simmed right by that step. I told him it was broken and he said it was fixed in the second patch.
