My copy of Madden just officially became a Collector's Edition, as in Dust Collector's Edition. The patch improved this game significantly. It's like I just bought a new game. NCAA '09 is nice now! 
CPU sliders work very well. I just had Miami, Fl run the ball 39 times vs. me (UF). Cooper actually ran for 100 yards on 20 carries. I still can't believe it.
It will be a late night tonight...and Sunday night...and Monday night!
Thanks for getting the patch out before the 3-day weekend. I finally have the time (and the desire) to play this game again.

This game plays an awesome game of football now.
Thank You to EA for restoring my faith in your company. Having you on these forums, while being overloaded with trolls, has really made this probably the best College football game I've ever played.

I'll tell you what though. This game just became the best next gen football released so far. The punt coverage by the CPU is SO MUCH better. I beat my first three opponents by 50 points each (one I score 99-0 in) because of my punt/kick returns. I just played temple and was only up 10 nothing at half...MUCH IMPROVED.
I've only played 1.5 games since the patch came out. The sliders work and the punt coverage is better. I liked the game before the patch and those were my two biggest complaints so I am happy. However, when using the same slider set prior to the patch, I really didn't notice any differences in the gameplay. I didn't notice any real difference in the pass rush or pass defense. I need to get more games in but I think the gameplay is largely the same imo. Working sliders will certainly help but like I said - I'm one of the guys that was happy with the game. I don't see the big difference others are seeing at this point (if you use the same sliders).
