good to hear you ps3'ers got it now. For me on 360, it was a HUGE difference and has been my game of choice since then. Madden is just collecting dust now.
the computer zone coverage is def better.....ive already thrown 2 pick on curl routes that used to be open all the time pre patch
Awesome! I played a little on an Xbox earlier this week and hated it (not the patch, just the Xbox controller), but I will try to leave some impressions on here.
P.S. the TV I played the XBOX on had the same settings as my TV and had worse graphics...same 32 inch HDTV and everything...PS3 support better graphics for NCAA?

This game is like night and day between the 2 patches. And for those interested, yes the cpu sliders work. I was messing with them just to see. I still wish NCAA would've made the penalty sliders more effective like Madden, but hey, its all good.

Pass coverage in general has improved in my opinion. I've also seen the Idaho QB throw 3 passes at the receivers feet and once threw the ball completely out of bounds trying to throw a corner route in the endzone.
BTW, the cpu has thrown the ball deep 3 times in this game, but unsuccessfully.
I have a question? My router died and i'm fixen' to get a new one but i'm really jones'en for some CFB! So if i took my PS3 to friends house and loaded it up on his ps3 account and downloaded it to my PS3 and brought it back to my place, would the patch be able to work even though i'm not signed in to any account? See i had a router for the Xbox360 but i switched to the PS3 and when i tried to set up my account for the PS3 my router wouldn't work anymore, so i had a couple people look at it that would know about things like that and they said some thing was wrong with configuration of it that it might be able to be fixed but it was just easyer to buy a new one. So i have to wait til next weekend to do it because i'm short on funds for the momment, so i was thinking this would work. What do you guys think?
Do you guys think that madden post patch 2 has a chance to be better than this game, or is it a hands down win for ncaa? Is the main issue now cpu playcalling or are there others and how annoying are they? Keep the impressions coming guys, I might just go get this tonight if I can find a used copy. I'm really jonesing for some college football right now.

Wow, just had an awesome game against the CPU. I was Michigan and played against Penn State. I won by a TD, but the CPU def put up a fight.
I didnt see any issues of note. Before, I could barely get through a whole game.
Much more realistic and better now.

Hey guys,
I was wondering what were all the issues the patch did for the PS3. I know the passing was one of them and also the sliders. But what else did they cover in the patch??
Thanks

Ok, I've played a half of football(12 minute quarters) and here are some stats:
Louisville 14
Idaho 3
Cantwell: 11/17 203yds 2 TD
IdahoQB: 8/19 100yds 0 TD 1 INT (he was 1/8 thru the 1st quarter, 7/11 in the 2nd)
Powell: 9 carries for 56yds
Bolen: 3 carries for 34yds
IdahoHB: 10 carries for 78yds (he had a beautiful run late in the half)
Thoughts:
* Pass defense is 10x's better now. Imo, both man and zone have been improved. CB's will jump curl routes if the ball is thrown late.
* I saw the cpu throw the ball at receiver's feet 3 times in the first half. He also sailed on out of bounds on a corner route in the endzone.
* the cpu threw deep 3 times. they also chucked one up at the end of the half. They were at my 43 yd line.
* kick coverage 1000 times better. Gunners turn in at a more realistic point.
* Pass rush is the same although adjusting sliders makes a world of difference. I hate adjusting sliders, but may with this one. I'll do some testing to see where I feel its balanced.
* QB still does the goofy option from time to time. Something we'll have to live with.
* a couple of times the cpu threw balls into the flat or on out patterns and instead of the receiver running out of bounds, they headed up field. Glad to see that.
* Punt coverage has not changed, though I thought it was ok pre-patch
* Penalties are the same. Sliders seem to have no effect, although it wasn't said they would
* There were two instances where pre patch the cpu would've fake punted, but instead he kicked the ball away. Glad to see that.
Thats all for now. I was happy with this game pre-patch but I am excited about this game now. Its gonna be a great weekend.
