So I'll be the first to admit, I also am disgusted with Sony and their apparent lack of a priority to get this patch out. With that being said, lets not blame them too quickly, the only reason we even have to wait is because EA didn't get it right in the first place.
This may have been answered at some point, but will Patch #1 affect dynasties that have already been started? And will Patch #2 affect the gameplay in ongoing dynasties? In Madden last year, I had to start my franchise all over to allow patches to take affect. I think that's the biggest problem. Waiting for patches essentially handcuffs us in the interim.

Just deal with it. Nobody's perfect. Can you do a better job?
Don't want to throw blame around since I don't know all the facts, but it doesn't seem like Sony really puts much priority in getting this patch out to their customers. It may not be all their fault, but I would think they could do more to get this issue resolved. Here's betting NCAA 2010 doesn't have near as many 1st week sales as 2009.
ea is one of the top selling franchises in the gaming market so sony should recognize this and realize this is where a part of the major profit comes from...give us da damn patch sony!

A game is supposed to satisfy me, and once this game is mine, I should able to personalize the game so to speak. We as(paying) gamers should not be subject to whatever crap the company wants to force upon us. If I want a game that I can pass for 1,000 yds in a game I should be able to tweak sliders to do so, and the AI should compliment that. If I want 20 sacks a game, I should be able to, OR if I want to tweak it to mimmick that of real life, I should be able to. Look at College Hoops 2k8. That game plays very well right out the box, it does all teh basic stuff it SHOULD do. But if I want to make it my own game, and change the whole gameplay style of the AI, I can do it.
Sports games should be more like putty, not something that's cemented with issues that we're forced to deal with. ie No pass rush, no defensive speed, robo QB, etc.

Some comments and a couple questions for CDowns.
I have every version of NCAA, from Bill Walsh '94 to NCAA '09 and every version of Madden from the Apple ][e to '08. I will have '09 Tuesday. I have played them all on just about every different system and I still enjoy playing the old versions.
Pretty much all software has bugs. When was the last time Microsoft put out a piece of software without a bug in it? That said, '09 seems to have some issues that should have been caught in testing. The roster and slider issues are just a couple.
For those that are blasting Sony, I don't understand why. EA made the game that has the bugs. EA made the patch that has the issue. How is that Sony's fault? Sure, I would like to see Sony make it more of a priority, but this isn't their only game and EA isn't their only game producer.
Now my questions (assuming I did not offend you to the point where you won't answer!).
1) Will either patch fix the delay of game issue in the PS3 & xBox 360 versions?
2) As I said, I still enjoy the old versions. NCAA 2000 had unlock codes for historic teams, all of which I have, except for the 1989 Miami Hurricanes. Any chance anyone there can tell me what that unlock code is?
Thanks.

When a team gets a delay of game penalty, the game clock continues to run. Therefore, if you get the ball and the lead, run a play to start the clock. then take a delay of game penalty over and over until the clock runs out. Of course, if you are in the 1st or 3rd quarter, you will have to run a second play to start the clock running in the 2nd or 4th quarter, but you then just keep taking penalties until the half or game ends. The PSP version seems to work correctly, stopping the game clock, but the PS3 keeps the game clock running. The reports are that the xBox 360 version has the same issue as the PS3.
Nobody left from the 2000 version, eh?

I will take that as a "no" to my question regarding either patch fixing the issue. :-)
Any chance on a patch #3? :-0
While you may be right about Tiburon and the 2000 game, wikipedia shows Tiburon as having developed NCAA Football since NCAA Football '98. Of course, wiki could be wrong.
