Game 74 @ TEX
This game was close until the end. Both teams had multiple leads; but after 5 lead changes, the Tigers prevailed.
Players on both sides came through against their former teams. Ian Kinsler homered to start off the scoring. In the 4th, Delmon Young had an RBU double to give the Rangers their first lead. Ryan Raburn's homer in the 7th gave the Rangers their second lead.
The true comeback started when Mike Adams came on for Yu Darvish (7 IP, 4 ER) in the 8th. He gave up a home run to Miguel Cabrera. That brought the Tigers within one run.
Alexei Ogando was the only effective pitcher for the Rangers. He cleaned up Adams' mess in the 8th.
Joe Nathan blew a save when Andre Ethier hit a game-tying, 2 out home run.
The Tigers opened the floodgates against a taxed Rangers bullpen, as their only option was a severely fatigued Yoshinori Tateyama (IP, 5 ER).
The Rangers let yet another potential win against the Tigers slip out of their hands.

Game 73 @ PIT
Once again, the Tigers' offensive output was amazing.
There were nearly 3 cycles completed: Prince Fielder and Miguel Cabrera were a triple short, and Adam Jones was a double short.
Andre Ethier doubled twice. Geovany Soto also tripled.
Even those who didn't hit were productive: John Mayberry, Jr. stole 2 bases. JJ Hardy hd a sacrifice fly. Doug Fister scored a run.
Speaking of Fister, he pitched a complete game and won his 18th! The 2 runs in the ninth are deceiving. Though the RBI triple was serious, the other came off of a groundout.
The Tigers have their second series with the Rangers up next. They swept the Rangers last time, winning each game in dramatic fashion.

Game 72 @ PIT
The Pirates fell victim to poor AI management, as Brad Lincoln made a 2nd consecutive start and earned his 2nd consecutive loss. He gave up fewer runs (in fewer innings), but the difference maker was Miguel Cabrera's 3-run home run in the 3rd.
Josh Beckett nearly had his 3rd CG shutout this year, but Garrett Jones had an RBI double in the 9th.
The Tigers, going for the sweep, have the undefeated Doug Fister on the mound. Erik Bedard will make his season debut; he broke his ankle at the end of Spring Training.

Game 67 vs. COL
This was an amazing win for the Tigers. I actually credit this win to me watching Moneyball a couple of days ago.
We are an aggresive team. We don't take a lot of pitches. We typically don't walk. It is late June and our team leader in walks only has 10 on the season. We don't strike out a lot, either. We just make too many quick contact outs.
However, today we made Jeremy Guthrie throw 100 pitches. He went almost 8 innings, but it's still an improvement for us. We've seen guys throw fewer innings and complete the game.
This game had 4 lead changes. That doesn't sound like many, but only 9 runs were scored between the teams.
Carlos Gonzalez was a homer short of the cycle for the Rockies. He also had all 4 of their RBI.
Miguel Cabrera only had 2 RBI, but they were the most important. He tied it with a sac fly, but won it with a walkoff HR.

I played my first game with the Franchise, and I was glad to finally see my creation in action. We simply demolished the Lakers.
