HALFWAY THERE
Seahawks ride rushing attack again to improve to 8-0
St. Louis - The Seahawks moved half way to history, and continued their greatest start in franchise history, pulling away in the 4th Quarter for a 37-17 win over the Rams on Monday Night Football. The game was close thru three quarters as the Seahawks only held a 20-17 lead going into the 4th quarter, but the Rams defense finally wore down from being on the field for too long as the Seahawks dominated the time of possession in the game holding the ball for 44:45 of the 60:00 minutes. Seattle put up 17 points in the final frame and made the scoreline look a lot more daunting than it really was. It was the second week in a row that the Seahawks amassed over 300 yards rushing, and also the second week in a row that Russell Wilson was able to break off a long touchdown run. Marshawn Lynch also eclipsed 1,000 yards in the game, and is now the NFL's leading rusher, perhaps with a 2,000 yard season in his sights. The Seahawks head home on a short week to take the upstart Tampa Bay Buccaneers who are fighting for a playoff spot, and respect, and would love nothing more than to put an L in the Seahawks loss column to cement their status.

The Seahawks take to the road again for their second straight prime-time match up in the division as they take on the St. Louis Rams on ESPN Monday Night Football. The Rams have struggled this year, but have given the Hawks fits in recent years, and with the bullseye firmly placed on their backs, the Seahawks will need to be on their toes in this one.

Players to Watch:
Offense:

Tavon Austin - WR:The Hawks will have their hands full with the electric rookie. He will be all over the field in much the way Seattle uses Percy Harvin.
Defense:

James Laurinaitis - MLB: The Rams captain is the anchor of their defense, and a tackling Machine. He will no doubt be keyed on stopping Marshawn Lynch from duplicating the career high performance he had last week.
Prediction: This will not be the cake walk the Seahawks had last week against Arizona. St. Louis is relatively healthy, and they have always given the Hawks problems in St. Louis. That said the Monday Night crowd for the Rams will still not be enough in this one. It's to the point now where you can't pick against the Seahawks until you see it happen.Seahawks 24, Rams 20

Seahawks clip Cardinals wings 48-14
Glendale- Hopefully the Cardinals weren't looking to this game to erase memories of last years 58-0 blowout, and last weeks 52-0 blowout. The Seahawks piled up 359 yards rushing, the Defense might have figured something out in the second half, and the Hawks ran all over the Cardinals in this one. After two straight scoring drives by Arizona, the Seahawks started to call a lot more blitzes to put pressure on young Ryan Lindley who was pressed into backup duty. "We always have the ability to do that, to change up the gameplan a bit if we see something that isn't working, or something that might work better." Said Hawks coach Pete Carroll. If the defense can start playing with that second half intensity then this team might be unbeatable. That being said it was against a team that has been decimated by injuries, and was blown out 52-0 last week by the rival 49ers, so it may be a little early to start thinking about that, but none the less it was an impressive showing, and is what a team that is being touted as high as these Seahawks should do to a lesser squad.

A divisional game for the Seahawks this week after 4 straight weeks of battling the AFC South, as they head to Arizona for a nationally televised prime-time bout against the Arizona Cardinals on Thursday night. The Cards come into this game banged up after a 52-0 drubbing by the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday and look like they'll be missing 3 key starters including starting QB Carson Palmer.

Players to Watch:
Offense:

Larry Fitzgerald - WR:The Cardinals perennial pro-bowler has seen a production dip in recent years. Many feel this is more about who is throwing him the ball than the receivers declining ability. He is always a major threat to get open no matter who is behind center.
Defense:

Patrick Peterson - CB: The electric corner will probably see some snaps on offense as well, but for the moment we will focus on his shutdown corner abilities. This will be one of the best that QB Russell Wilson sees this season.
Prediction: Usually you would expect all division matchups to be somewhat competitive, but the Cardinals have been absolutely decimated by injuries to some of their major key contributors. Starting QB Carson Palmer will not be avialable on the short week, and the drop off to backup Ryan Lindley is significant. the home crown won't be able to save the Cardinals from the roll that Seattle is on. This one may get ugly fast. Seahawks 38, Cardinals 7

It took a little over a quarter for the Seahawks to get their feet under them after their return home, but after that, the Seahawks defense allowed only 3 points in the 2nd half, and the Offense did enough to put the Titans away for a 24-16 win at CenturyLink Field. Russell Wilson just continues to shine, and put to bed any signs of a sophomore slump, as he threw for 314 yards on the day. Robert Turbin had a huge day on the ground spelling Marshawn Lynch, as he broke a huge run early in the 3rd to extend the Seahawks lead. Kicker Steven Hauschka had a rare bad day missing two field goals in this one, one of them a 24 yard chip shot that would've pushed the Hawks to a two possession lead, and allowed them to not have to sweat out the final minutes of this one, but in the end the defense held Jake Locker, who showed well at times in his Seattle return, and as has been the case every week this season, the Seahawks emerged victors.

Players to Watch:
Offense:

Chris Johnson - RB: Although he may no longer be CJ2K, Johnson is still the fastest back in the NFL, and still very dangerous with the ball in his hands. The Seahawks will need to key on him in this one.
Defense:

Bernard Pollard - SS: The Super Bowl champion from a year ago took his talents to Tennessee where he signed a big money Free Agent contract to help anchor down the Titans defense. Russell Wilson will need to know where he is at all times on Sunday.
Prediction: Although the Titans would like to make Jake Locker's return home successful. They are going to have their hands all of the way full with the Seahawks in this one. Seattle is finally returning home after two weeks on the road, and it's going to be their homecoming that rules the day in this one. Don't expect a close one. Seahawks 31, Titans 10

These are the types of games that make you think something magical might be in store for your season. The Seattle Seahawks were dead to rights yesterday, trailing by two touchdowns, on the road, midway through the 4th Quarter, the offense barely moving the ball all game long, but then the Seahawks magical signal caller got to work. Russell Wilson led an 84 yard scoring drive out of no where capped off by a 1 yard touchdown by Marshawn Lynch to cut the lead to 24-17. With 5:46 to go the Seahawks all of the sudden had a little life breathed into them, and boy did they capitalize. Fueled by the sudden momentum, the Seahawks defense got to work, and on the second play of the next Colts' series, Kam Chancellor forced a fumble that was recovered by Richard Sherman. 2 Plays after that Marshawn Lynch found the endzone again and all of the sudden the crowd at Lucas Oil Stadium was silent and the game was tied. Luck managed to lead the Colts down for a go ahead field goal with 51 seconds to go to put Indy up 27-24, but Wilson wasn't out of magic yet. He managed to calmly move the Hawks down into range, and Steven Hauschka booted through a 46 yard field goal at the gun, and all of the sudden a game that was over, was heading to Overtime. The Colts won the toss and recieved, but the Seahawks defense got busy, and it was Chancellor again, this time intercepting an Andrew Luck pass and putting the Hawks in Colts territory. From there it took a few plays to move it into field goal range, and all of the sudden the Seahawks were once again celebrating a win that seemed so unlikely only 30 minutes earlier. Now the Seahawks welcome former Husky Jake Locker, and the Titans to town this Sunday for a return to CenturyLink Field for the undefeated Seahawks.

The undefeated Seahawks travel to Indianapolis to take on the Colts. It's a battle of two of the Star rookie QB's from the 2012 draft class as Russell Wilson takes on Andrew Luck. Luck's backup however needs no introduction to Hawk fans as Matt Hasselbeck see's his old club for the first time since his 10 year stay with the team.

Players to Watch:
Offense:

Andrew Luck - QB: Luck set the NFL record for Passing Yards by a rookie QB last year, and will look to carve up the Seahawk secondary.
Defense:

Robert Mathis - OLB: The veteran Mathis is now an OLB in the Colts new 3-4 scheme, but that does not mean he is still anything less of a pass rush threat. The Seahawks will need to key on him Sunday.
Prediction: The Colts are a tough team at home to deal with, these are Yardage wise the two worst defense's in the league right now, and both teams should be going up and down the field in this one. Expect a shootout with the last team to touch the ball getting the W. Colts 34, Seahawks 31

Seahawks use 38-0 run to bury Texans
Houston - If this is the Super Bowl preview many were predicting then hold on to your hats. In a game of quick scores, big plays, and runs, the Seahawks managed to pour it on with a 38-0 spurt that saw them pull away from the Texans in Houston. The Texans defense that had given up just 5.3 points a game coming into this one surrenderd a whopping 54 on Sunday. The Seahawks scored on the Texans opening possession when Matt Schaub threw a pass out into the flat that was tipped and eventually corralled by Byron Maxwell who took it back all the way. That one was explainable, but his very next pass however was not, an ill advised throw that Seahawks cornerback Brandon Browner stepped in front of. The Seahawks turned that into a field goal, and after a Schaub fumble set up another Hauschka kick, and it was 13-0 before you could blink in Houston, but that's when it got fun. The Texans were able to put together a scoring drive on their next possession to cut it to 13-7, then it was the Seahawks who all of the sudden got the turnover bug. A Lynch fumble, an ill-advised Pick-Six by Wilson, and another fumble, and all of the Sudden Houston was on a 20-0 run that surged them ahead, However during their last field goal drive Matt Schaub was crushed by Seahawks linebacker Bobby Wagner and knocked from the game. That's when the Seahawks took control. They scored three touchdowns in the final 3:33 of the first half thanks to another Houston turnover, and a huge punt return by Percy Harvin. It was 34-20 Seahawks, and it was only half-time. The Seahawks came out with the same fire on offense in the second half, and Backup QB T.J. Yates had no answers for Houston, as Seattle scored 38 unanswered when it was all said and done. The Seahawks no this was a statement game for them, but they'll have little time to celebrate as it's back on the road to face another tough AFC South opponent in the Indianapolis Colts, next Sunday at Lucas Oil Field.

Player of the Game:

Percy Harvin - WR: So many people to choose from, but lets give it to the new guy. Harvin's huge punt return, and 30 Yd touchdown reception in the 2nd quarter set the stages for Seattle's big run.

Players to Watch:
Offense:

Andre Johnson - WR: Last time these teams played Johnson lit the Seahawks up for 193 yards, and 2 TDs. Obviously the secondary is improved, but Johnson is always a tough cover for any team.
Defense:

J.J. Watt - DE: Watt is the most dominant defensive player in the league. Containing him will be a challenge even for the Seahawks experienced offensive line.

Prediction: The Texans defense has been almost perfect this season, allowing less than a Touchdown. This is going to be a game that Houston is hyped for and ready to show the league they are finally a serious super bowl contender. If the Seahawks can't score on the Texans D. This will be a tough day on the road. Texans 24, Seahawks 17
