Whats with the lack of control for corner backs or linebackers when going to jumo for the ball.. Im pressing the triangle button every time the ball is in the air and my guy doesnt even attempt to jump! Even when i press the swat button -.- this game is really turning me off

CRMosier it has been stated all over this thread what we feel is bad about this Infinity engine. Please forgive me but I'm not going to re-write the problems with the IE.

Where there are moments that it does something nice, the majority of the time the engine has the game looking very sloppy and clumsy.

This is how I see it and if you dont see it that way, it's cool. I repspect your joy.

I've really enjoyed the demo thus far.

However, I'm looking forward to seeing the ZBS used by the Redskins and Texans better represented when the linemen are addressed next year. The smaller/faster linemen who utilize leverage don't get much love in this game.

Not sure if its a bug. But going to all-madden drops all of the human sliders to 25 while the CPU stays at 50. So catching, run block pass block etc are all lowered for you.

I don't see the cheat logic you are referring to this year, like I have in years past. Last year, that was a valid argument.

This is a video game, It is important to remember that, but this game feels much more realistic than dare I say it... 2k8 or 2k5

This title is headed in the right direction... towards simulation. That is all I can ask. As long as it is moving forward, I have nothing to complain about
And my point stands - I don't find anything realistic about it.

I'm glad you're liking it, and I won't try to take that away from you. But the flaws are so blatant this year, its like they didn't even try for realistic. And no way would I call this more realistic than 2k5. Not even close.

I haven't played NCAA, so I can't compare. I'm not much of a college fan. But how are the graphics cartoon? Well, over emphasized limbs, heads, running animations, and tackling animations for one. I feel all that's missing is the Benny Hill theme song.

Cheat logic? Well for one, anytime I am facing a crucial 3rd down, and a wide open Randy Moss or Michael Crabtree drop routine passes, or bounce them into the hands of waiting CPU defenders for one.

Unrealistic physics? Well, I just got done with a game where during the opening kickoff, I took Ted Ginn, and at full speed stopped, turned and ran backwards a step, stopped, and turned and ran back forward and juked the entire CPU special teams for a touchdown with completely unrealistic momentum and change of direction.

There is a level of fun to be had from this being a football game, but it is an arcadey level of fun. Not a "I want a realistic offline franchise mode" experience because nothing about the on field product is going to lead to a realistic experience. The game is just like last year's in terms of "destroy CPU defense with money plays because they can't adjust to it, until the cheat logic kicks in". So just like last year, I'm going to rack up stats with Michael Crabtree from the slot, running slant patterns all game until the cheat logic kicks in and makes me throw 7 it's a game.

It had literally the exact same problems. Running up the middle was impossible because if you touched an olineman you went down. Guys arms got twisted behind their back in the exact same way. If you think madden played better with canned animations that's you opinion and fine but don't point to Natural Motion having any more success than ea because this is infinitely more playable than backbreaker at release.
Are we talking prepatch or post patch?

Rememeber when BB first released the running game was fine, and the passing was not. Then the Greenhouse patch released and the exact opposite happened. Where the running game became a mess and the passing game was nice.

It all depends on when you played the game, and if it was with the greenhouse patch or not.

Me personally prior to the greenhouse patch BB physics engine was implemeted nicely, not perfect but implemetned better than Madden IE.

True?

Dont make me whip out my personal batch of BB videos! lol

Please make me I have some nice ones

Re: Madden NFL 13 Demo Available Now, Post Your Impressions Here (360, PS3)

FINALLY, I got to play the demo. Had a strange situation with my membership since I don't use Live unless there's a deal and they said I had some past due charge, they cleared it up this time though.

But anyway...I'm 3 games in so far
The game is surprisingly good and it's about time! Anyone that says the game doesn't feel different must have a biased opinion, it definitely a change for the better.

The physics work great, there's a few hiccups here and there but usually not too game changing in a negative way.

Presentation and commentary are actually good this year, they still have room to improve but it's surprisingly solid for once.

I picked off Eli 5 times in my first game though, and the INTs keep piling up with either me or the cpu in other games, I hope that's tuned down just a little.

NCAA and Madden controls....

Did I miss something? I thought they were making the controls for NCAA and Madden the same this year finally. I have been playing NCAA almost everyday and I'm here to tell you the controls are not the same... so am I "misremembering" or did they really say that?
