Pavlik was leading 48-45 on all cards after 5 rounds. His stamina was 73%, Hagler's was 63%, despite my higher punch output. Part of the problem is the CPU's tendency to throw a lot of power modifies. Many seem to land, but with ineffectual results even scoring wise.

I don't know if it's Hagler's default boxer/puncher setting (which he was obviously) but he's just too passive and not very scary. The two times I was hurt a simple backing up got me out of trouble. I question you knocking down any conditioning or endurance setting, as my stamina advantage was evident throughout the fight.
maybe it's just a matter of playstyle. your obviously much better than I am. somewhere between the skill and the way we play the game is netting opposite results. I've played this match several times and have had some varied results. I've been beaten, knocked out. I've won decisions and knocked him out. Something about the difference in how we play also seems to be seen in the huge discrepancy of head/body shots... i dunno...perplexed.

LOL, I'm not much better than anybody. I even threw to the head more than I normally do.

I'm just surprised that Hagler can land 53% of his power modifiers, out percentage me 56% to 37% and lose handily. (Although he did win the first two rounds).

lol. yeah that percentage deal is a killer. Do you remember what the stamina was looking like? he only threw 230 something punches right? My rationale in the stamina is just reducing the endurance so that they don't constantly engage in long stretch combo's. which will deplete even more overall stamina. But it's all some balancing act for a flawed system.

Yeah, as I said in the previous post Hagler was at 63% after 5 rounds, Pavlik was 73%.

gonna work on him being more productive, hopefully without throwing a ton more body shots .... but being more productive. we were both in the 30% range...
VERY impressive. I think it has to do with the fact that he's a purely outside fighter. I think when the AI goes inside, they naturally throw significantly more body punches.

man....its a pain to do this for most of the roster...but tweaking the tendency sliders has at least made me semi enjoy the game again.....

Actually got beat by Chavez 2 times in a row the other day.....dude wore me down like he used to do during his career.....both times he had stamina advantage of 15-25 points.....He picked off a lot of my jabs made me waste a lot of punches

And after I adjusted the punching power and toughness sliders Im getting back the cuts and swelling......the 1st Chavez fight....I beat the hell out of his face......cut him on both sides of his face made his left eye swell shut with my 20 hook

But the dude kept on coming and actually beat me by a comfortable 5 rounds

Still, I think they broke even more sliders with the patch, specifically the Stamina and Damage Sliders....

And Its just so sad that the CABs and Legacy issues are still sucking the vast majority of life out of this game....

Re: Fight Night Champion Title Update #2 Available Now, Post Impressions Here (PS3, 3

Decided to go a little radical. (EDIT)-all changes were from Hagler's original settings.

Body Snatcher*****************Head Hunter (90 to 100)
Counter Puncher****************** Aggressive (15 to 90)
Single Punches******************Combinations (Kept at 95)
Fast Punches********************Hard Punches (35 to 23)
Inside Fighter************************* Outside Fighter (62 to 40)

Pavlik (ME) won a grueling 95-94 majority decision. I kept him as a Boxer/Puncher, but the most drastic change was putting his aggression in overdrive (15 CP to 90 AGR). I didn't mess with any of Hagler's skills and kept his various punch frequencies the same. I might tweak his aggressiveness later, but it was a good fight. He kept coming at the end and stunned me with 10 seconds left in the fight.

His Boxer/Puncher style had him backing off at times, but with Aggressiveness up to 90 his more forward direction had him with a 49% to 41% stamina edge over Pavlik entering the 10th round.

I think any boxer/puncher needs more aggressiveness to have him forward more and backing up less.

Look at my counters 2-7-terrible.

Going more inside fighter (62 to 40) had something to do with his more forward movement too.

nice. why'd you have him so much of a counter puncher to begin with though?
