Re: Fight Night Champion Title Update #2 Available Now, Post Impressions Here (PS3, 3

I don't have the game at the moment, but have heard that the new patch has slightly altered the CPU Punch Output slider, and has introduced a drastic stamina decrease for both the CPU and the player. Therefore, whilst you can limit the punhces the AI throws via the slider to a small degree, the CPU will still gas midway through the fight, as their output is still too high.

So, I was wondering if anybody has considered using 1 minute round lengths. I've never used them in a FN game before, and in all probabilty it would make the bouts feel too short, but wouldn't it make the punch output as realistic as possible, as well as fixing the new stamina issue?

I fought tyson last night and edited all his tendencies including swelling and cuts. He had nasty swelling by round 7 and a nasty gash under his left eye. While I knocked him down three times to his one, the game felt better and tyson threw far less punches than ever before. Still need to tinker with the settings and I wish we could just download a save file for the edited boxers.

Nah-I've fought as Pavlik and have been beaten by the likes of Winky Wright and beaten the likes of Sugar Ray Robinson.

You can beat or lose to any type fighter at any given time.

If i owned this game i would consider starting a community project aimed at fixing offline utilizing your method...I understand how some people may think its a waste of time since EA ninja tuners the game every other week but its better than doing nothing and waiting for a patch that is never coming...
Welcome to EA. I get the impression they couldn't care less about their offline gamers for all their sports games.

I was wondering if anyone could answer my previous question. What about the tendencies of the cpu generated fighters in legacy mode? I rarely if ever play fight now, so editing the licensed boxers tendency isn't going to do much for me. I only play legacy mode.

Fight now is similar to play now in Madden/NCAA for me. I cant get into one and done matches, I need continuity. Unless its online of course.

well because of the randomness of the generated guys it's much more passable imo. You have no expectations, so the fight style not being predetermined helps. some guys are runners, some are punchers, some are volume guys. Actually helps the game imo. But now the thing is that issues, of the runner tiring himself out and the puncher punching himself out is more prominent.

Didn't work for me. I used the same Pavlik-Hagler model:

PAVLIK: 203-567, 35%, POWER-23-88-26%
Hagler: 142-310, 45%, POWER-55-155, 47%

Pavlik wins by KO in the 9th round, his 3rd knockdown of the fight. Hagler surprised me by knocking me down in the 6th. Before the stoppage it was 77-71 in favor of Pavlik from all the judges.

Both fighters had about 100 body connects but Hagler was ineffective to the head. I was able to throw over 250 more punches but before the 9th Pavlik had 58% stamina to 45% for Hagler.

anyone finding that the online fights are just who can body-uppercut the most? the last few peple Ive played thats all theyve done, pretty weak actually because there didn't seem to be a way to counter it as my hooks went over his head every time.
