For real! The NFL has veteran minimum salaries because older players often have to take whatever deal they can get.

Its nothing wrong with that, 07 was 10x better then what we have now IMO.

Long time hardcore Madden player here. This is what I expected from Madden 2010. Same awesome franchise mode from 2007 with next gen graphics, AI and power. Looks not only are we getting back a lot of the great proven features from last gen Madden franchise mode, but Monday we will also get a bunch of new features as well that only new gen can provide.

Of course I want to see some more innovation. We all do. But I love Maddens core gameplay. Always have. If your a player who has not...you left this franchise long ago. And the fact it is the only NFL game in town has some people really upset that never liked Maddens core gameplay. I can understand the frustration.

But for those of us who have stuck with Madden....Hell Yeah!!!!

Madden 12 is going to slay it!!!

I am very interested in hearing more about this....the "real" pictures for these unknown rookies.

How many unknown "real" faces could they possibly have ?

And then still seeing the "Blank Silhouette" on real NFL rookie Lonyae Miller...that is a little disappointing (again).

What are NCAA imported draft classes gonna look like ?

Ok, Peterson's fumble issues are not a matter of frequency, but of context. The man fumbles in the very worst moments he can possibly fumble. Also, he has a higher than normal frequency of lost fumbles.

One season with 4 fumbles cannot forgive what he did the previous year. We remember the NFC Championship game when he fumbled 3 times, losing all three, and cost the Vikings a Superbowl trip... but a few weeks earlier to fumbles away the Vikings shot at home field advantage throughout the playoffs by fumbling in Chicago territory in overtime.

I've lived the past 14 years in Vikings broadcast territory, I've seen damn near every carry Peterson's ever had. He's an amazing back, second only to Sanders in terms of pure ball carrying ability that I've ever seen. But to argue that he doesn't have a problem with fumbles is ridiculous. If he goes another season with only 4- and they don't cost the Vikings their entire season- we'll talk.

At any rate, I'll try to go through and answer some of the questions posted here sometime tomorrow or Sunday. No promises though.

all valid points Adem...but it is what it is...his fumbles were down last year........is there some type of weighting system for a players label/role....using the past 3 years with most weight on the most recent year?

I am curious to see how all of this ends up. Will it be implemented well and work great, or will it have too much impact on the game. I just hope it isn't over the top like how Momentum was in NCAA Football 07 thus making it unrealistic. I guess we just have to wait and see.

Reading through those made me remember the good ole days when franchise was fun. The best one was Return Specialist, Dante Hall was a beast to stop. For people concern about the negative roles; in 07 they were really roles applied to a player b/c of low ratings and bad performance. The RB received the fumble prone role b/c he had low carry rating and certain amont of fumbles. The role affected the RB on 3rd Down and 4th QRT, and lowered his carry by 5. It really just made you think about giving the ball to such a back in a crucial situation. But it really wasn't overdone. Sometimes if the CAR wasn't too low you could remove the role just by going through a training camp drill with the RB and Increasing his carry. This role was useful b4 trading for a RB or picking one up in FA you would see that he was Fum prone w/o having to look at ratings.

Another thing that I think will be added this year b/c they kinda go hand in hand is player morale. Alot of the roles were based on a player receiving a certain amount of playing time and if they didn't get it their morale would lower. Then the player would start to demand trades and going to the paper saying you was a horrible coach b/c you wasn't using him right. Or just being an overall distraction affecting the team. Hell I remember if you would put a star player on the Trading blocks just to see what you could get for him, the whole team moral would drop. LOL *Sigh* The good times.

This article has got me excited. Gameplay wasn't a huge issue to me the past few Maddens, it was more of the game keeping me entertained. Now that it seems they added a ton to franchise mode I should be playing the game for months.

He only lost it one out of three times in that game and 12 man in the huddle plus Farve's INt cost the Vikings a trip to the Superbowl.. He's has two season of fumling 4 times or less.. I don't believe that should be consider a fumbler especially when some could exchange between him and the QB..
