Madden NFL 12 Franchise Mode Details, More Coming Monday (IGN)

I wish they would stop calling this a new feature. Its an old feature they are bringing back, which they never should have dropped in the first place. I am glad its back though.

Ok, let me see if I can make this more clear. It is NOT a feature they are bringing back because it has NEVER been on a next gen game. They never developed this feature for these platforms. It has never been programed on this engine. If it had been in a previous version of an XBOX 360/PS3 game, taken out, and then brought back then there would be a reason to whine and complain. The only thing that they got from a previous version of the game was the idea and experience for how to implement the feature.

Don't know if this has been seen already but in this article
http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/116/1168424p1.html it says we will be able to edit players in franchise mode! So we can maybe edit draft classes!

I disagree! The fact that they failed miserably with their scraped current-gen engine is not a valid excuse, IMO. Had they changed the name/IP on this generation, you'd been right, but Madden is one continuous series, so I do believe it's justifiable to compare across console generations.

When features were in Madden at one point, they do not become new features when they are relaunched. Just as people wouldn't think of the BigMac as a new burger if McDonalds decided to discontinue the BigMac and relaunch it 5 years later.

Also please stop using the term 'next-gen games' about games on a 6 year old console - and you're not the only one, many people still use the term 'next-gen' about the PS3 and 360 all the time Sounds like my parents, who still think DVDs are a new technology. "Have you seen those new DVDs - they have instant rewind!"

And I see that Adembroski didn't answer my questions about having overall rating based on the team's philosophy, so I guess they'll continue to stick with the old overall ratings... bummer!

Damn where did that article come from? Scouting in season, combine, pro day, and individual workouts are confirmed .I like the fixed IR and retirement logic news I haven't heard confirmed before. Even though it's doesn't affect me I know people have been begging for the ability to edit players in a franchise and switch teams in franchise which looks confirmed.

If online franchise matches offline franchise this will be a guaranteed day one purchase for me even with a lockout still on which I have been saying I wouldn't do up till now. I just want to be able to play an intriguing franchise with my friends like we did back in the middle/high school days when we had all the time we wanted to put into it.

Maybe he overlooked it, maybe he's putting in 14 hr days and doesn't have time to answer everyone's questions. He might need approval to answer questions.
